A true hidden gem!
Love love looooved our bartender and the decor was surprisingly SUPER cute. I was not expecting this in sugar grove for some reason. It’s actually nicer than the other location I’ve previously been to.

The steak nachos and chili are a MUST.
I loved the Back to Basics Old Fashioned and apple whiskey margarita.

Only complaint was the menu pricing didn’t match what they actually charged… so I would just say work on that so there is nothing people can complain about. Don’t add extra hidden fees to the cocktails without communication.

Will definitely be back as the food, drinks, and customer service were all on point.

I can’t wait to try the key lime pie next time and I’m excited to see the patio in the summer/fall.

Meet up with friends for a couple birthday celebrations, 10 of us and the food and drinks were very good. The cheese curds from Wisconsin we're definitely great, and the three sausage platter was also very good.

My husband and I had dinner at The Burnt Barrel Social in Sugar Grove tonight, and it was a fantastic experience. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with a beautiful fireplace in the back where you can gather with friends and enjoy the cozy setting. When the weather is warmer, there’s plenty of outdoor seating, and I learned they even have a great spot on the side for playing bags. The bar is spacious and well-stocked, offering a wide selection of drinks. The menu features a wonderful variety of food—we started with the cheese curds, and they were some of the best I’ve ever had. Our dinners were equally impressive, with generous portions that left us more than satisfied. This spot is very popular in the area, and we were glad to finally have the chance to try it out. We’ll definitely be going again—this is sure to become one of our go-to places to eat out. I highly recommend it!

Needed a place to hold a party for up to 50 people with a fun ambiance and Burnt Barrel did not disappoint. Worked with Joe to come up with a menu that worked for our group. He was really flexible with all our special requests. He allowed us to bring in a musician and even hold the party around the fireplace and bar in back. Everything that we asked for, they accommodated. On the day of the party, the food was amazing, hot and fresh served buffet style. Replenished quickly, too. The service was outstanding - we had two servers just for our group and they were on the ball serving drinks and removing plates. I couldn't say enough positive things about our experience there! If you need a place for a party, you've found it.

Been here 4-5 times so far. Food is expensive. Fish and chips could be better, but calamari is pretty darn good, but costs $17 as an appetizer. Old fashioned is $10.50 made with old forester 86 whiskey that you can buy for $26 a bottle at Jewel down the street. Have had a server twice now, he was fantastic, which is what you would expect for an upscale place. Two times had another server, including today, and they really left a lot to be desired. Today I sat at the bar for the first time, and after a bit, I was given a menu and asked if I wanted anything to drink. I asked for an old fashioned with a draft beer chaser. The bartender snarled at me and said they can't serve two drinks at once. I felt like I was being judged--she certainly could have been nicer about it. I wasn't there to get drunk, I just like a chaser with my drink. Anyway, just the old fashioned I said. After that, I waited, and waited, and waited, and finally--when my drink was almost done, was asked if I wanted to order. There was one other person at the bar and many open tables. I felt as though I was being ignored on purpose. After my calamari appetizer, I was asked if I wanted my beer. I said no and then waited a while for my tab. Paid and left. It was at just over $30 for a calamari appetizer and 1 old fashioned. I tipped $3.50, which was generous under the circumstances. I'm curious to know if someone orders a bloody mary, if they can have a chaser for that, I suppose not. Come on! I don't know about the rest of you, but I'm probably not going back. I'll go somewhere else with more competitive prices and consistently better service. It's ashame too, as there are some great memories I have with your other server, but an attitude from one person really can destroy your opinion about a place. She didn't introduce herself, the way the other server did. Both times she started the serving experience with an attitude and appeared annoyed, especially with me, and not necessarily with my wife the first time.

We have only been here once and need to experience it again before going from 4 1/2 stars to 5. Serving sizes were good. Flavors were good. Staff was really good. Manager and owner's son even stopped by our table. Wine was a little pricey, so we ordered the cheapest Cabernet on the list. It was fine, but seemed sweet. Bar type atmosphere and a little loud. The chopped wedge was so good I didn't even use the salad dressing! The steak bites were good but way too much seasoning, salt and or sauce. (To the restaurant: save some money and my health by cutting back on the sauce/seasoning on the steak bites. It is a really good dish.) Price for one complete prime rib dinner, steak bites appetizer, cup of soup, house chopped wedge side salad, bottle of wine, tax and tip $120.

Beautiful atmosphere. Very welcoming front entrance area with lots of seating and a huge bar. Dining room off to the side along with high tops around the bar. Plenty of TVs and nicely decorated. The nachos are awesome and huge portions as we ordered the half order. Burger was great, nice and hardy at 10oz. Buffalo chicken sandwich was also a large portion and tasty along with the curds. Definitely a modern and upscale place to hangout for the game or enjoy a nice dinner. Service was great and food came out even as they were busy on a Thursday evening. Would go back.
