This small-town hotel was a big find! The rooms were spotless, with multiple pillow options waiting for us, which was a nice touch for a comfortable night’s sleep. The bed was super comfy, and the bathroom was squeaky clean, stocked with plenty of fresh towels. Breakfast was impressive, with a mix of healthy options alongside some delightfully indulgent toppings for the waffles. I loved the choice between vanilla and strawberry waffles! The fitness center exceeded my expectations for a smaller hotel—lots of weights, three treadmills, ellipticals, and a fresh supply of cold water. A shout out to Nick’s hospitality—he had warm, delicious chocolate chip cookies waiting for us on our arrival. Well, they might have been for the entire hotel but he made us feel like he made them for us.

I am very disappointed at this location. This is the first location where I was told that I can only get two waters on my first night and not every night of my stay. This is not a good policy especially toward LIFETIME DIAMOND members. The hotel is a nice hotel but there is not much in Pontiac IL as far as restaurants and shopping. You would think that a hotel chain would want to keep customers happy, especially diamond members, with such a simple gesture. Anyway, I’ll probably stay in Bloomington from now on.

The staff! Absolutely the best, friendliest, most helpful hotel staff I've ever encountered. I'd put down specific names normally, like Heather, who was super helpful, but literally everyone, even the guy doing maintenance was pleasant and professional. Helped us find restaurants and everything. In reviews I usually try to give at least one positive and one negative. The only thing I can think of negative is the OJ was a little watery. But the little omelets and red velvet waffles were great. Pool was clean and the pool shower was great. Most pool showers in hotels don't have a hand shower. But this one does.
Thank you to the friendly staff! All that said, I wish I could give this town a review. There is nothing here really. The towns economy seems to be entirely dependent on the correctional facilities and Route 66 nostalgia. If you're looking for a good small town to visit, check out Casey Illinois not too far away. Especially if you have kids with you. The hotel pool is literally the most exciting thing in Pontiac for kids. No attractions, no kids museum, not even a Chucky F-ing Cheese! Luckily my kids are remotely interested in museums. The War Museum was closed but looked interesting. Anyway, great hotel.

Staff weren’t exactly friendly. Very hard beds to the point my shoulder hurt the next day. Quiet location. Clean room.

Wasn't going to leave a bad review but was unsatisfied with the care of front desk staff. I get it's just a job to them but they also have no clue what their guests are going through when they check in i.e. two family member deaths and swimming was the one fun thing my child was going to get to do. Let this be your reminder to be kind to every guest you encounter.

Pool- out of order, did not disclose at time of booking (about 1.5hrs before atrempting to use pool)
Tv- shut off minimum of 4x within 4hrs and went back to the guide channel by itself at least 5x in that time frame.
Beds- super squeaky and easily slid of the platforms

In the past I just worked housekeeping in a hotel and I still had more compassion and manners than the front desk, evening staff, on 8/13.

Definately not my favorite hotel. For starters, there is no Bible in the room which is an instant red flag for me. Secondly, the beside outlet was broken with exposed wires. Dangerous and made it hard to charge my phone

The room was great, But the free breakfast was terrible. The orange juice tasted like water, the waffle dispenser were broke, the hot food was sausage gravy with biscuits, sausage patties, and western omelets. Which all were burnt and I don't eat pork due to religious beliefs. The only other items was cold cereal, but I'm lactose intolerant. So basically there was nothing I could eat. As we were leaving,I went to drop off the key, there was 5 people behind the counter. 4 in uniforms 1 counter person looking at her phone. 1 person acknowledged us and told us to have a nice day. By this time I was already unset and just left. I chose this location because I had a great experience a year ago. But I should have saved some money and went somewhere else. Upsetting.

We stopped here on our way to the path of totality for the 2024 Eclipse. The hotel was extremely clean and very well maintained. Breakfast was great and all the staff were very pleasant. All in all a great experience. Only small hiccup was the WiFi wasn't working for about a half hour when we arrived but eventually booted back up.
