Wow. What a gem The Hangar 1802 is. The renovation of this building is beautiful. The owners paid a lot of attention to detail. Love it. The food is excellent. Service friendly and quick. Love that they are open 7 days a week when so many local restaurants are closed a few days a week. We love the Italian Beef pizza, the cheesecake and pretty much everything they offer.

The Hangar 1802 is a new spot on the south side of Streator. The inside has been completely renovated to create a warm and welcoming experience.

We ordered two different two-topping pizzas to accommodate our family. We were happy with the price compared to some other places in the area.

For me, a great pizza requires balance between the crust, sauce, and the toppings, all of which this place was able to provide.

Overall, The Hangar 1802 has exceeded my expectations from start to finish. I would definitely recommend.

The new owners did a hell of a job renovating the place; nice bar area, sharp looking high top wood tables with tv’s conveniently placed around the restaurant. Probably the nicest looking sit down pizza place in the area. The calzones are cooked just right, had the deluxe and it was really good. The baked potato pizza with sour cream to dip it in is excellent, never had a pizza like that before with thinly sliced potatoes on top with bacon, it’s easily one of the best pizzas in town. Glad they have a few draft beers in a time where some bars in town are getting rid of draft beers. They have some good selections of cheesecake too. Nice job on the renovation.

We visited there tonight for the first time. We were very impressed with the appearance and cleanliness. We ordered 2 different kinds of pizza, a Bloody Mary, a couple beers, a soda, and a bowl of chili. Our food was very good and our service was excellent. We also had a very pleasant conversation with the owner. It was a great experience and we will definitely go back. We actually live in Pontiac, but were in Streator to go to a movie.

This is literally the best taco pizza ever! The crust is fresh and crispy the taco meat delish and the toppings fantastic and fresh. Chunky tomatoes lettuce and crisp tortilla chips...I personally like it with salsa instead of sour cream. Give it a shot ..you won't regret it! The interior is all redone looks fantastic and clean clean clean!

Stopped in for lunch today, had a delicious cup of homemade cheesy, Italian sausage, hash brown soup to start meal off. Then had an Italian beef calzone with mushrooms, great amount of beef, canned mushrooms, and cheese and cup of aujus. Very tasty. My mom had the Reuben sandwich a St Patty’s weekend special she said was good. Also got a slice turtle cheese cake that looks delicious, haven’t eaten it yet. Owner was our server very good and personable.

For $6 we received a sliver of cheesecake. The edge was less than an inch wide. It tasted freezer burnt.
The Pizza was not baked enough, skimpy on toppings and a weird collection of tomato sauce in the center.
Thoroughly disappointed after our first visit which we had calazone and a large slice of homemade cheesecake.
