Wonderful experience! The setting and atmosphere at this bed and breakfast are wonderful. Barbara and Efrain are exceptional hosts! We have stayed at a couple other bed and breakfast’s before and this experience is 10/10! The rooms and entire home are extremely clean and cozy. All the little things are thought of cookies and chocolates and water in the room and spa services on site! The food! I cannot say enough about Barbara’s gourmet cooking. The plating was spectacular. The views and atmosphere for the breakfast setting were wonderful as well. It’s cozy and romantic if that is what you are looking for. The beds were very comfortable and the linens were very cozy! I have nothing bad to say about our experience.

We stayed four nights here for our anniversary last month and it was a fantastic experience. The hosts Barbara and Efrain were so wonderful and welcoming, and we were served the most amazing, homemade 3-course breakfasts in a beautiful sunroom where we could watch and hear the birds. The guest area of the kitchen had everything we needed. Our suite was comfortable and superbly decorated, with a cozy fireplace and two-person jacuzzi. Chocolate truffles were placed on our bedside tables and cookies were under a glass dome. The suite felt like our home away from home, but without the stress of everyday life. I highly recommend Songbird Prairie for a romantic getaway and hope we can return someday!

Gosh, where to even start? The Riveras have been running this inn for 20+ years and it shows. They know how to make people feel welcomed, cared for, and cherished. A true respite from the world experience. You owe it to yourself, either singles or couples, to come to this magical place and be recharged. Enchanting is not too strong a word. The breakfast room where you can dine to birdsong surrounded by nature is a memory you will cherish a lifetime. Book now - you won't be disappointed. Downtown Valpo has lots to offer if you choose to leave the property for day trips. We celebrated our 28th anniversary here and I'm already planning a trip in the summer to see the gardens in full bloom!

Barbara and Efrain were very gracious to my husband and I, who were in the area for 2 nights. Barbara's delicious meals made our stay more than we expected. Efrain's coffee was a delight to wake up to in the AM. Their bed and breakfast reflects the hard work each puts into it, throughout every room. Each room was purposely decorated and peppered with little extras to make each guest feel extra special. This is a truly special couple with a truly special gift of hospitality. Thank you for making our stay so special. We are looking forward to our next stay with both of you.

We loved every detail about our stay at Songbird Inn. The hosts were lovely and welcoming, our room was perfect, and the food was incredible. We also loved the downtown scene in Valparaiso - fun shopping and dining. We will definitely be back!

They are the sweetest couple and their home is absolutely spotless and her breakfast is to die for! I could go on and on about their place and hospitality. My wife and I enjoyed a much needed getaway at the Songbird Prairie Bed and Breakfast. Relaxing, luxurious, and magical is how we would describe it! It was above and beyond what we were hoping for. The whole place was inviting, with an absolute lovely couple running it. We immediately felt like it was a home away from home. From the whirlpool tub, to the chocolate truffles left on the nightstand each night, it felt like a 5 star resort. Barbara and Efrain prepared and presented exquisite, 3 course breakfasts that were just breath taking and delicious. We will be coming back for another stay!

My husband and I came here for a little weekend getaway and loved every minute of it! From the delicious 3-course breakfast to the luxurious whirl pool bath, we spent our time relaxing and recharging. We spent one of the days taking in the beautiful outdoor scenery. The flower beds and trails were gorgeous! One of our favorite parts was probably the breakfast. We had a wonderful view of various birds flying around and eating from the feeders right outside the window. The microphones were able to pick up all the beautiful bird songs.

We stayed in the Robin Suite, and it was a perfect blend of romance and Italian elegance. We cannot wait to return and experience all of the other bird themed rooms! Thank you, Barb and Efrain!
