I had a wonderful stay at The Study! The staff at the hotel and restaurant provided 5-star service. The rooms were spacious, clean, and well-appointed, making them feel brand new. The bed was very comfortable. Additionally, the gym was top-notch, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I don't hand out these accolades easily, but it was well-deserved for my stay!

This was my first time to stay at The Study. The staff was courteous, welcoming, professional and truly aiming to please. We enjoyed our stay and will definitely be back! The entire hotel was immaculate and the room was very comfortable with a great view. The gardens are also a wonderful touch. Thanks for your hospitality!

My husband was schedule to have surgery at University of Chicago medical--during Christmas week. We stayed at the Study so I could walk (15 mins) to the hospital during the day, or take a quick Lyft at night (4 mins). ||The Study is an lovely hotel. Lots of relaxing areas to sit in the lobby. We were greeted by friendly staff manager, Cornelius (I hope I got his name right). He was welcoming; he mades sure we knew all the amenities of the hotel and the hours for Truth Be Told restaurant. ||The Truth Be Told restaurant has lots of nice options (a bit pricey). Note: the kitchen closes in the mid afternoon and opens back up at 5pm. Bar is open at 4pm. ||The only thing the rooms don't have is a mini fridge. This was disappointing (for I couldn't save leftovers or do any small shopping for the week). ||I'd stay again, but I'll have to bring a cooler to keep food. The room does have a safe. The cleaning staff were so kind and brought anything we needed. ||It's a cozy place to stay if you're visiting The University of Chicago or the hospital. I highly recommend it.

I love this hotel. Although the staff forgot to call me when my room was ready. I don't want to base my experience off this one person. We did end up with a room that didn't have air, but there was this AMAZING gentleman, he was the maintenance guy ( his name escapes me, long hair, Aquaman build)that helped. He even got our new keys and moved us to the next room. The room had a spectacular view and since we were visiting, he gave us recommendations about food and bars. I like the fact that they had tea and coffee in the mornings. We will be back.

I absolutely loved my experience at The Study during my workshop attendance at the University of Chicago. Indisputably my best hotel experience. The staff are just so willing to help. The only slight negative is that there is no complimentary breakfast, save tea and coffee, but asides that, everything is perfect.

I cannot say enough about The Study at University of Chicago! Everyone involved in guest services is amazing, far exceeding that of any other. Always thoughtful, accommodating, polished (and smiling!), they are committed to exceeding guests' expectations and needs. Not only are they wonderful at what they do, but they seem to enjoy doing it. On my most recent visit, it was Cornelius, Janaieve, and Lex who went out of their way to make my stay extra special, along with Truth Be Told's Tina and Carsten. But that is not to say that others did not also play an important part, only that I didn't get everyone's name. Add to that the beautifully appointed and spotless rooms, the lovely amenities, aesthetically calming ambience, wonderful campus location, and delightful Truth Be Told menu and surroundings, and I have to say that The Study at University of Chicago is my favorite getaway for a long list of great reasons. Thank you all!

Specifically in town for U Chicago event. Perfect location to campus. Extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and courteous staff! I had left some toiletries, and they were quick to offer replacements and/or the location of a market nearby to acquire anything else. Staff extremely helpful in holding our luggage as we attended our event at U Chicago after check-out and provided directions to another location, we inquired about visiting. Room was a little warm when we arrived, and they immediately sent someone to the room to assist in adjusting the thermostat that apparently, I was having difficulty managing. Didn't realize there was no refrigerator in the room. That would have been nice. Shower was amazing. Parking was confusing for me since I am not from a metropolitan city. The garage was extremely close, safe and well lit. Felt very comfortable walking to and from the garage. Felt very safe in this area. We walked a ton during night and daylight! Thank you for all your hospitality! We will be back.

Picking up our daughter from UChi. The FOH staff was kind and easy to work with, solving any questions we had. Early AM coffee with great ambiance. The bartender was funny, quick and knowledgable. The views, spectacular. Off street parking was easy. walkable to so many things.
