We traveled from New Jersey to Seward, Alaska. Mother/Son trip. We stayed in the cabin, perfect for the two of us. The beds were comfortable and the cabin was spotless. The views in all directions were nothing short of SPECTACULAR!! Just breathtaking. Our hosts were kind and knowledgeable and even took us out fishing which was INCREDIBLE ❤️ we went zip lining, took a glacier cruise went salmon fishing and fished from the beach right at the property. You seriously COULD NOT find a better spot to stay. If Alaska is on your bucket list and you’re not about cruising, STAY HERE, you’re welcome. My best vacation ever. Thank you Todd and Kathy Marcus

Wow. Just wow. This was such a hidden gem. The pictures don’t do it justice. Whatever you do stay somewhere in millers landing if you’re visiting Seward.

We visited during shoulder season and drove around trying to find a place day of. We called the number on the building and we had the honor of speaking with the owner. He was able to confirm availability and directed us to the Miller’s Landing cafe as the office.

We stayed in the cabin/cottage. It has 1 queen bed and 1 twin bed. A very large bathroom, a kitchenette, kitchen table and bar seating. The view from the bed is absolutely spectacular. A small patio is outfitted with a grill, chairs, and firewood for purchase. Do know that space heaters are used to heat the place, we had no issues with them and were able to stay warm into the cool evening.

Steps from the shore, you can whale watch whenever you feel like it! We weren’t able to see any whales but others we met here saw some from their balcony the day prior. Lots of cute sea otters.

Would absolutely stay here again. There are two other buildings with rooms, as well as a trailer you can rent.

We had a great stay at the Oceanfront Inn in Seward, Alaska. This is our third time visiting the area and all three times I’ve stayed at the Oceanfront Inn! We’ve been so impressed, we just had to come back. The bungalow is so spacious and has its own private steps right to the beach. The cabin is so cozy and cute. The suite has the comfiest little loft, perfect for kids! The view is gorgeous and you’re right along the beach!! The owners are amazing and always so helpful if there’s anything you need.
If you’re hoping to visit Alaska, stay at the Oceanfront Inn!!

The private suite was very well kept and comfortable. The view from the deck was unreal as I got to watch sea lions playing, bald eagles flying buy and whales surfacing. Could sit there all day taking in the views from the deck even on a rainy day as the deck is covered. The owners were very informative and welcoming. Although this trip was a business trip, I will be sure to stay in one of the Oceanfront Inn facilities for my next family vacation. Having never being to Alaska in the past, this place showed me the beauty of Alaska!

These cabins in millers landing are cozy and comfy. Great tent sites and showers laundry facilities. We have stayed in 3 if the cabins and a few of the tent sites over the years. If you want a cabin best prices for those if the off season BOOK WAY AHEAD! these places get booked fast especially in the summer.

Nice place, clean, has the basic amenities: microwave, mini fridge for your stuff, satellite TV, coffee pot, toaster, water cooler, dishes and silverware. It's smaller than the photos would have you believe, though! They clearly used a clever professional photographer. The stairs lead up to a 3 foot tall loft with a couple of mattresses, so the whole thing is one room, one bathroom. I came during late winter/early spring, so the porch was a bit chilly and rainy, but it would be gorgeous in the summer. It is right on the beach, which would also be nice in warmer weather. Haven't interacted with the owners except for a brief email exchange, so can't say much with respect to them except that they were courteous and helpful setting things up. They evidently once offered breakfast; not anymore.

As for the downsides, some of the pillows were very old and lumpy. We all agreed the images posted on their site bordered on misrepresentation, which we were upset about, mostly just on principle. The hot water could be a bit finicky, and their dogs barked pretty early in the morning (~6-7 AM), waking us up. The skylight also had no shade, which meant the room was pretty bright pretty early.

Overall: a comfortable, clean place to stay with a nice view, short walk to the Caines Head trailhead, and short (~7 min) drive to Seward's main drag. Feels a lot like sleeping in an aging relative's garage-turned-spare-bedroom. Don't expect to comfortably fit a family of 4+ in here, though, unless you don't mind getting really cozy with one another.

Staying here in Seward was the best decision we could have made. Amazing oceanfront property where the tide comes up to the back steps and otters swim all around. Easy fishing and beachcombing. Highly recommend!!

A bit expensive, but a great view and very convenient if you are planning to kayak at Miller's Landing. It has hot water, a nice large bed, and also has a fold-out.
