I used to go here as a kid and always enjoyed my time with my dad. I came back for a visit after almost 20 years and it’s better than ever. The food is delish! The service is great and the establishment is updated from what I remember. There’s a banquet room where I remember a patio used to be. Really nice!
The water levels were high during our visit but it actually added to our experience because the kids enjoyed skipping rocks.
If you’ve never been, you should come check this place out.

The owner is extremely rude and dishonest.
When renting the place for an event, owner says you get money back if you clean the place after, but it's a lie. Then makes up any excuse not to give you your money back-even though you leave the place cleaner than when you arrived!
Don't even try stating facts to him--he gets angry and disrespectful.
The employees were helpful and kind. Would return only because of them. Five stars to them.
If you're looking for a place to hold an event, beware do NOT rent this place.

Fantastic place for delicious bar food! From tenderloin sandwiches,to awesome homemade soups, to the best hamburgers. I haven't found anything that I don't like.

AWESOME menu items- fast service, great place to eat and fuel up while on the Illinois River. We came all the way from Peoria on way to Starved Rock. Stopped here for lunch, it was great!!
