Sitka is a special place, surrounded by nearly unimaginable natural beauty, but is sorely lacking in accommodations. Luckily, there is the Raven's Peek. We stayed in the Treehouse which, to put it mildly, is one of the most unusual lodgings I have encountered in my many travels. Four levels with bunk beds on the lower level, a small kitchen and bathroom situated on the entry level, a tiny sitting area on the third level, and the "master bedroom" on the top floor, the beds are first rate, and the bathroom features a shower stall with multiple lighting options, a built-in radio and more. Its aesthetic will not be to the liking of all-it is cluttered with animal hides, taxidermy deer heads, and such---common enough in these parts, but which I personally find off-putting. And the inn is short on certain amenities like a dresser or closet or even a coat hook upon which to hang a garment or two, as well as bed side lamps for reading. Yet, I'd give the place ten stars if I could because, first and foremost, Mike and Marilyn are amazing hosts and fascinating people. Mike used to co-own a restaurant and it shows! The breakfasts are beyond compare. Exquisitely presented and of the quality you'd expect in an upscale restaurant in New York or Paris. Both Mike and Marilyn have lived remarkably interesting lives and are wonderful company--Marilyn is a physician who worked with Indigenous people in the Arctic, and Mike has had more careers than I can recount. They are also incredibly hospitable and helpful. Mike picked us up at the airport at 11 pm and delivered us there for our return flight at 4:30 a.m. It is hard to be more accommodating than that! He also rented us a perfectly fine car for less than half of what we would have paid at Avis. And then there is the location: The Raven's Peek is at the edge of town, away from the crowds with unparalleled views of the ocean beyond. Guest have use of a hot tub. I could go on and on, but suffice it to say, my only regret is that we didn't stay twice as long as we did! Don't even consider an alternative--we've seen most of the of the other lodgings in town and there is no competition! This place is fabulous.

This is our 3rd stay at Raven's Peek. Stays there just keep getting better and better! Mike and Marilyn are gracious hosts with amazing breakfast offerings and stories. They will tailor to your requests (allergies to certain foods.)|Comfortable beds, plenty of space and Mike will pick up and take you back to the airport. They even have a car to rent.|Awesome, awesome B&B

What a wonderful stay.||Great breakfast. Loved the personal/private hit tub & sauna. Car rental available was so convenient, as was nearby public transit. The view (sunset over Sitka Sound) from the hot tub amazing. ||The hosts are very friendly, and do not miss the story of the Raven.||We'd highly recommend staying her on your Sitka vacation.||'Tranquility base here, the raven has landed' (Mike the owner will understand this).

Staying with Mike and Marilyn was a treat, but you better book early because Raven’s Peek is a treasure in Sitka. There are three accommodations available and we stayed in the FreeBird Cabin which was our sanctuary in Sitka. This romantic cabin has a music theme, comfy queen bed, jacuzzi tub, leather couch and chair, microwave, fridge, washer/dryer and the perfect view of the water. Breakfast was included and Mike is a master chef that catered to our needs. If you’re lucky a rental car could be available at a favorable rate. There were a few steps to the cabin which were easy to navigate. Allow some extra time for Mike’s stories and enjoy the art in their home. Raven’s Peek is a ten star experience in gorgeous Sitka, Alaska.

Without a doubt, this is the only place I would stay in Sitka. Mike and Marilyn are beautiful hosts, providing such a special place for their guests. Each morning started off with an incredible breakfast prepared by Mike himself and an equally incredible conversation with both Mike and Marilyn. They are both such special people who have such amazing stories to share. My kids were equally fond of them and SO loved the space we stayed in. And the view is beyond special - what a great place to sit outside and watch the sun set and rise and to get a view of the beautiful water and bald eagles that regularly fly by and stay to rest. Wow! This was an experience. Mike and Marilyn go above and beyond for their guest. They love sitka and love telling stories of their journeys that got them where they are. They are the sweetest people. Mike whips up some over the top breakfast meals that will leave you full for the day. They give their guests extra special attention. First the cookies when we arrived, and nice warm towels after showers and nice bathrobes. They think of everything. And the views are breathtaking. I can't imagine staying anywhere else when in Sitka. Thanks for a wonderful experience.

My kids and I stayed here for 2 night. I wanted to stay forever. I got my own room with a hot tub, sauna and a fire pit...and a super comfy bed!! The kids slept in the room down the hall in bunkbeds. We were served delicious breakfast and they even accommodated our GF needs. The views are simply stunning. We watched a fantastic documentary and I got massed the whole time in the massage chair. Nice soaking tub, too. Best of all the conversation with the hosts and the artwork. Simply stated, an A++ stay and so grateful from this momma!!!

Highly recommend! Came for a weekend getaway and stayed in the Guest Suite. Mike and Marilyn are fantastic hosts with wonderful stories to share. The sauna and hottub made for a perfectly relaxing day. Breakfast was delicious every morning. I definitely hope to come back someday soon
