I have been going to the wild strawberry Lodge for years. Every single time I go it is an amazing experience. Yes, they really put you on the fish and it’s always a great day on the water with all of their captains. From the moment your plane lands, you are so well taken care of with transportation, lodging, customer service—everything you can think of is planned ahead. A fishing adventure at the wild Strawberry Lodge is worth every single penny.

I don't want to appear as if I'm fawning over The Wild Strawberry Lodge, however, I will again rave about Theresa, her Lodge, Staff, location and accommodations. We have now stayed here 4 times and will be back. Theresa and her staff have gone well above what is great customer experience and service. Read the other reviews for evidence this is their standard practice.
Stop looking and reserve this lodge for your visit to Sitka.

My husband and I just returned from staying at The Wild Strawberry Lodge. We spent four days fishing and had an amazing experience.
The accommodations were lovely, the food excellent and the staff were attentive and caring.

The two captains, Chad and David and deck hands Mike and Kaylie, worked tirelessly taking care of baiting our hooks, untangling our lines and netting our fish.

The best fishing charter in SE Alaska!
I’ve had the pleasure of staying at and fishing with Wild Strawberry Lodge on two different trips. It was an incredible experience both times. They do such a wonderful job of taking care of you from the time they pick you up at the airport until your journey is over. Hospitality is 20 stars. Food is incredible. Sleeping accommodations are fine. And the fishing experiences….. omg! It was so much fun!! You will be beckoned back again and again because it’s such a great journey. Thank you to my friends at WSL. Great fishing experience! We bought this trip for our son's 50th Birthday gift (with the caveat that we come along). It was fantastic. Three days on the water catching lots of fish (King, Chinook, and Pink Salmon; Halibut; Ling, Black, and Rock Cod; and several other varieties). Captain Johnny and Deckhand Will were on top of everything. They handled the fishing gear, bait, and fish locations with ease and friendly professionalism. Also, they handled all the tangles we made with smiles on their faces. (Captain Johnny also makes a great sandwich for lunch.) The lodge is located walking distance to the docks, and has comfortable rooms. The food is fantastic, with two fresh fish dishes, a meat dish, great salads, vegetables and dessert. (The package includes a cookbook with some of the recipes served.) The wait staff and hotel staff members are all very friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, efficient, and courteous. The owners, Theresa and Johnny, are great hosts with all the necessary skills.
A fabulous place for guided fishing. Highly recommended.

Just finished our 3rd trip with this amazing lodge. Everything is done the right way. From the airport pickup to the fishing. We gone out 3 years now with the same boat captain. Kyle works hard to get you your fish. We love going out fishing with him. My wife and I go back year after year.
