“We had booked the Lakeview Center in April of 2024 for a wedding celebration the following September. Prior to our event, we had asked if the adjoining room Gillson room was being booked, and if not, we would like to book it so to insure complete privacy during our event. The co-ordinator told us, no need, since they don't book events in the Gillson if there's an event in the Lakeview Center. We found out a few weeks prior to our event, that there was another event booked, in the room next to us, at the same time as our event. This significant park district administrative confusion caused us a degree of stress prior to our event. Fortunately, our caterer helped navigate us forward, as well as the party in the adjoining room co-operating with us as to not disrupt our event.and the event came together. The space, the view of the lake, the surroundings (except for tall chain link fences everywhere !!) is lovely. The park district needs better communication with their clients and within their own ranks”

We booked the Lakeview Room for a birthday party. The space was perfect for a winter bday celebration. We loved all the natural wood on the interior and the warm fire place. The small kitchen with ovens was amazingly helpful. The parks district did a fabulous job of plowing and shoveling all the snow. The front desk attendant, Matt, went above and beyond to help. Everything was perfect!
