Absolutely terrible place—I wouldn’t recommend staying here to anyone. We stayed in room 111 and left the next day to return to our truck, thinking we would get a load. When that didn’t happen, we decided to stay for a second night in room 125.

During the day, I noticed a few red spots on my skin but assumed it might be some kind of allergy. Later, after we had spent the whole day in bed in room 125, I realized my entire body was itching badly, swollen, and covered in bites. We discovered bedbugs in our bed, immediately packed our things, took a shower, and decided to leave.

It was 2 AM, so the only person at the front desk was Trevor, who, as I understood, was a cleaner. He told us we would get a refund, but he needed to contact the manager, which could only be done in the morning. We asked him to make sure they called us back. However, we never received a call.

We had to call ourselves and explain the situation to the manager. The manager was very rude, said we made everything up, and insisted there were no bugs in their hotel. We reminded them about the reviews on Google Maps and Yelp, where other people complained about the same issue (unfortunately, we hadn’t read the reviews beforehand). They told us they didn’t care and that if we had a problem, we should go to a medical office, but they wouldn’t refund our money.

Besides this nightmare, both rooms were quite dirty, with the second one being even worse. The hairdryer didn’t work, and it was very noisy, but those were minor inconveniences compared to my horrible allergic reaction.

We do not plan to let this go and will continue to file complaints with the head office. If that doesn’t help, we will have to take legal action. A child could have been in my place and suffered a much more severe allergic reaction. It’s frightening to imagine the consequences of this nightmare.

I've stayed at this Days Inn before several times--the last time was 2 years ago. So I knew it was a good value with friendly staff and a nice deep pool, conveniently located off I-80 and not too far from Skydive Chicago where I compete in national championships and world records, etc. I was looking forward to returning to the Days Inn for this year's Nationals competition and was DELIGHTFULLY surprised to find that many improvements have been made to the (already adequate) hotel since my last visit. It seems that they have replaced the carpeting so it is pretty much brand new and super clean--wonderful for me since I spend a lot of time stretching on the floor! The towels also seem brand new, fluffy white and soft. The shampoo and conditioner are now a really nice brand. And they have upgraded the TVs and phones in the rooms--my TV was huge and got great HD picture, with tons of channels. The pool, as always, is heated just the right amount and immaculately clean. And the nice night clerk who was there two years ago is not only still there but he remembered me. I could not have been happier with my stay--what a wonderful value! Funny how the motel still looks pretty run down and sketchy from outside, but once you get inside, you realize that you won the lottery--it's rare to find such a clean place with so many amenities for this price. Be aware, however, that the breakfast has quite limited variety for those seeking healthy food. Make a stop at the Wal-Mart right across the highway for food provisions if you're looking for fruit or yogurt or anything like that in the morning. The rooms have fridges and microwaves, so keeping the food you need in your room is no problem.|My compliments to the management and staff for all the improvements you've made! After living here for months after a house fire, in the middle of a blizzard we had a knock on our door stating that our insurance hadn't paid in a week, we either had to pay or get out. I told them there had to be a mix up, they weren't hearing it. After collecting thousands of dollars from our insurance while there, to give us an hours notice to move out was very cold. Especially since they were doing a remodel the entire time we were there and dealt with loud power tools running early mornings and late nights, drywall dust everywhere, paint fumes, hallways packed with furniture. Then, they refused to give me a receipt. Will never stay at a Days Inn again.

It seems that it has been a while since someone reviewed this motel. After lot's of problems finding places to stay, I must tell you that I was extremely pleased with this Day's Inn. The parking lot was plentiful and the price was good for a double room for one night.||The Night Manager was helpful to find a room with a bathtub, and check in was smooth. Elevator worked to get me to 3rd floor and was pleased with the room. It smelled a bit of disinfectant, but was fine and better then the last two places I had stayed on this trip. The room was CLEAN ... beds, sheets, and pillows were comfortable. The air conditioner was quiet and kept the room nice and cool like i wanted. ||The bathroom was clean and the water was hot for a comfortable bath. Vending machines on first floor with good ice machine. ||Comfortable sleep with no loud noises. In the morning I enjoyed a "lobby waffle" and sausage gravy with biscuits. The gravy and biscuits were as good as the ones I paid $12 for earlier in the week. The morning manager was very nice and had me checked out in minutes.||Overall, I believe this Day's Inn was a diamond in the Ruff.... if you are in the area, give it a try!

Spent 1 night in September as part of trip. Plenty of parking and had indoor pool (did not use). Coffee was in the lobby. Bathroom was remodeled. Shower and sink in same area. First floor - was wood. Breakfast area - 4 tables or so, oj/apple juice, 2 cereals, smaller waffles, toast, small muffins, replaced stuff when people were there. Coffee did not have any liquid creamers. Breakfast 6 to 9.|Trip - stay in the back of hotel away from highway|Was on the more expensive side for typical Days Inns.

Positive: Nothing. It was disgusting. Pool wasn't available. Staff was rude. Negative: Everything. Our room was exceptionally dirty especially the bathroom.
