My husband and I got married at the pavilion in November with around 60 people. It was a great wedding ceremony space for us! It was a good size and we loved the stained glass and high ceiling. The park district provided the white chairs and arranged them for us. (We had 8 rows of 10 chairs which fit great!) The grounds around the pavilion and the balcony were perfect for pictures (although there is a lot of geese poop so watch out if you have a big wedding dress). We brought a lot of decorations, and loved how the space turned out. We also appreciated how reasonable the rental price was since it is rented through the Elgin Park District.

There were, however, a few things that could have been better. My husband was the first to arrive so he could begin setting up for the ceremony. He said that the Elgin staff were 15 minutes late to open the building which delayed his setup time. The building was also kind of dirty and could be better maintained. For example, there's a large A/C vent on the wall in the main room that was VERY dusty and on the outside of the building by the main doors, there are two light fixtures but one is broken. There's also a banister inside the main room that we hung drapery from that was very dusty and likely never cleaned. The hardwood floor instead had been replaced last year, so that was nice and the floor wasn't squeaky.

Overall, we liked the space and it was a perfect location for taking pictures in the park.

Daughter got married on the pavilion, setting was beautiful. A worker was there to help with any questions, and to keep the Doors opened for us. We Had the entire lower level to get ready in. Bathroom's and a kitchen area too.

It was dark but there are also animals! Bison etc. Chill park. Nice place to vibe and go for a walk. Close to downtown Elgin. Large walking area. Beautiful scenery

The Park is soo peaceful. The grounds are kept clean. The best place to take stroll, and a nice place to find a bench to sit and read a book.

Beautiful place for a wedding. Air conditioned, stained glass windows, beautiful wood floors, great place for wedding receptions or celebrations.
