I am a wedding photographer and photographed a wedding at The Rooftop at Hotel Goodwin in September 2024 and it was a lovely venue to work at! This historic and industrial wedding venue in downtown Beloit has everything couples need to host their wedding all in one place. The venue has gorgeous and charming renovated hotel rooms, a beautiful restaurant, and the rooftop area has an indoor bar and dining area that opens up to the outdoor roof deck, which is the perfect spot for an outdoor ceremony. The hotel is a short walk to the scenic riverwalk, which was a great place for photos. The staff were incredibly friendly to work with. I highly recommend having your wedding at Hotel Goodwin!

My family and I have been going to the rooftop for several years now. The view is gorgeous, the food and drinks are consistently delicious and the environment welcoming. But it’s the service that is most exceptional. The bartender there, John, always takes great care of us and is always genuinely so pleasant, expedient and knowledgable. We always appreciate him and It wouldn’t be the rooftop without him!

Beautifully crafted, feels upscale without being stuffy. We went for an after dinner drink on our last night in Beloit. We stayed at Hotel Goodwin, had dinner at the Velvet Buffalo downstairs & decided to cap our night off at The Rooftop.
Hip for the younger crowd but feels a good fit for all ages.
Good selection of Wisconsin beers, full bar, & a number of specialty drinks. I tried the "When Life Gives you Melons"; this one will catch up with you as you forget you're drinking alcohol. Lots of snacks to share are available to order as well. Bar is beautiful & there is a rooftop deck, though we didn't get to sit outside as it had been raining off & on for sometime.
Nice place to enjoy each other & have a good drink.

Bartender was such a cool guy and gave us nice cocktails and service. Philly cheese pizza was the worst pizza i have eaten recently. It was undercooked, bitter and microscopic amount of shredded meat.

Also my partner’s mussels tasted not fresh. Unexpected experience from such a cool atmosphere.

Had a very enjoyable time the singer was entertaining and the bartender made an excellent Manhattan. Would have stayed longer but we had reservations downstairs.
