Hotel staff is wonderful. Hector at the Bistro is awesome, he is very helpful and pleasant. The front desk attendant Naz was amazing. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you for making my stay here a great experience.

Another good stay at the Courtyard in Schaumburg. Our room was clean and comfortable. Front desk was wonderfully welcoming and helpful. Plenty of parking. A bit tricky to find as it is set back off the road and surrounded by other hotels and restaurants, but this also helps to keep the noise level from traffic down. Also, not too far off of I-90 or I-290.

I had plenty of work to do, so I decided to get something to eat at the hotel. Hector was behind the bar and did a great job of taking care of everyone that was there. Great service and pleasantly surprised by the quality of food. |Nice going, Hector!!

Positive: The bed was comfortable and the staff very nice Negative: When we walked in, it smelled old and stale. The room was very outdated and smelled bad. If we were not so tired, we would have asked for a different room.

Rooms are outdated. They leave food in the front for customers out for DAYS! I’ve stayed there for a week and it was out during my entire stay! General manager is the worst of them all!! Very rude and unprofessional! Every time I come downstairs he’s always sitting around by the TV’s in the lobby doing nothing especially when there’s customers waiting and nobody’s there. Won’t be staying again!!

GENERAL MANGER IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND RUDE! I complained about seeing a bed bug in my room and he did NOTHING! So I ended up leaving and had to pay for another room! Complete waste of money! Don’t stay here!!

I booked two rooms, each with two beds, and had some duplicate reservations. However, upon arrival, the front desk reassigned my rooms to one-bed, handicap-accessible rooms without notifying me. When I politely asked the front desk staff to move me to rooms with two beds as originally reserved, I was immediately met with hostility and unfair profiling of my friends, who weren’t even staying at the hotel, likely because we were minorities and young. The staff member mentioned that since I had booked with a "special rate," I would receive whatever room was available. However, these rooms were booked months in advance and their website showed plenty of rooms with two beds were still available, and she eventually changed one of my rooms, proving that availability wasn’t an issue. Also, I am frequent Marriott hotel guest and have accrued approximately 20 nights in 2024, have never had this issue.

This staff member, who was working the night shift and also acting as security, made an inappropriate remark, saying that “us brown people need to stick together and be nice to each other,” which seemed like an attempt to excuse her rude and unprofessional behavior. Despite admitting that I had indeed booked two-bed rooms, she justified the hotel’s decision to change my reservation at check-in by claiming they had the authority to do whatever they liked. She then followed her remarks by threatening to kick me out of the hotel and ban me from all Marriott hotels.

Considering it was after 11 p.m, I didn’t want to risk losing the rooms and having to find another hotel at that hour. For that reason, I remained very polite and non-defensive throughout the entire conversation, frequently apologizing and eventually thanking her for changing one of my rooms to a two-bed, while the other remained as a one-bed, handicap-accessible room. I would request that the hotel release the camera footage so we can review the conversation and verify.
