I couldn’t be more pleased with the custom wedding cake and cupcakes from Smallcakes! The cake is exactly what I envisioned, and I am so so so happy with it. Not only were the items beautifully decorated, but they were also incredibly moist and delicious—our guests couldn’t stop raving about them. The pricing was very reasonable, especially for the high quality, and the entire process was so easy and stress-free. I really appreciated the tasting option, which made it fun to choose our flavors. Smallcakes was a joy to work with, and I highly recommend them for any special occasion!

Soooooo good! Loved the coconut one, husband loved the Boston cream, kids loved the cookies n cream & peanut butter! Can't wait to go back! The girls working the counter were very patient and nice even made up a new batch of the peanut butter ones since the customer before took the last one.The store was very clean & inviting. The tables outside were also nice to sit at since it was so nice out.

Nice cute place, kids friendly, variety of flavors for gelatos and Cupcakes. We loved the lemon drop, caramel, coconut and Raspberry flavor. Their cupcakes are always fresh, soft and flavorful.They also have pup cakes for the pets. They take orders as well and customizations available too. Ample parking available.

Smallcakes is our go-to for tasty cupcakes! They're decorated so cute and taste yummy! (Red velvet and pink vanilla are our fav's!) They have 14 signature flavors consistently but then every week (or month?) they feature 3 different cupcakes that are either seasonal or different than the usual variety. They also do custom cakes for a great price. They made my son's cake this past summer and it looked and tasted great! And when the summer finally returns (can't come soon enough!) they have really tasty, creamy ice cream flavors! I think they make cake shakes too but we haven't tried them yet! Definitely go check them out!

Total drops of heaven!!!! Smallcakes in South Barrington makes the absolute BEST gourmet cupcakes my family has ever tasted. The cupcakes are just delicious, so moist and truly melt in your mouth. They are the perfect amount of sweetness and the ratio of cake to filling to frosting is down to an exact science! There are so many different flavors to choose from, including the specials that change frequently! The colors and design of frosting are so bright and elaborate….best of all the colors do NOT stain your face…even the BRIGHT NEON PINK!…..my kids could devour 2 without me ever knowing 😉 The shop is also a perfect location in the Arboretum, very neat, clean and has a bit of a French cafe feel.

Besides the outstanding beautiful cupcakes, the employees are so helpful and thoughtful every time we come! They truly put their heart and soul into baking! Keep them coming!!! Can’t wait to try the custom cakes and gelato!

Cute place with cakes, cupcakes, ice cream and shakes made with your choice of ice cream and a cupcake mixed in. We had a shake and dairy free cupcake. All of them were very good.

This is my favorite place for cupcakes! Anytime I have a special occasion or event, I go here to pick up dessert. Every cupcake I've ever had here is amazing. And best of all, I can get a pupcake for my dog 💕

Saw this place in a youtube video advertising their smash in a jar. Once we got there we didnt see "smash" on the menu but they did have a small poster that said they have it. It was also extra for the jar so we didnt get it. I made a bad mix. When my fiance had birthdaycake everything which was good. I love ice cream frosting etc but for some reason i couldnt get half way through without thinking it was too sweet. I dont know if it was too much caramel or the frosting. I think it would of been better the items on their own. The cupcakes looked good. Ours melted a little when we took the picture. Nice small place. Lots of parking. Will go back to try something else.
