Booked a 1 night stay to get away with my sister and have a girls night. Picked this hotel because they have a hot tub and last time I was their it was nice. I called before booking and they said the hot tub was working. I then called the day before to ask about early check in and explained why I was coming and for the hot tub. But then when I arrived I was told the hot tub broke the night before. Which I get things happen but when I said we'll that sucks because it's the only reason I booked their. If I would have known I'd have went somewhere else. They didn't offer any discounts or a different night to stay once it got fixed or anything just sorry and that the pool was still open. The pool was very cold.🥶 I even asked if they let people come and use the hot tub and was told no id have to book a room. Then when I got to the room 122 it stank. The smell was so bad I had my daughter bring me air freshener. There's also greasy/dirty finger prints on the ceiling by the smoke detector and an area where it looks like they slid their hand across it. The carpet is dirty and stained up.
The plus was the people are friendly and the bed was comfy. If I would have been their for more then 1 night I'd have asked for a different room due to the smell of the room.

Everything about this hotel is awesome. From the clean rooms to the friendly staff. My family and I always have a great time while staying here. The pool is always clean and taken well care of. Country Inn and Suites of Freeport is the only place I'll ever stay or recommend for hotels in the area!!

Decent rooms for acceptable rates.
As others have noted...rooms can always be cleaner these days than what they were.

Overall though, had a great stay without any issues. More than likely I'll be back to stay again!

Room was fine, as I don’t expect a lot from a hotel these days. My frustration came when our key cards deactivated if our phones got in the same county as the cards. I had to have mine reactivated over 5 times and even carried my phone and card in opposite hands as much as I could. We even had to walk across the parking lot to the front door when both my husband and i’s cards didn’t work. “Appropriate attire” to breakfast apparently also means shoes, because my autistic son and I were asked to leave when we had socks on. It was irritating, but I asked him to wait while I got my shoes from the whole other side of the hotel. Of course my card didn’t work again and I had to walk back to find him crying in the lobby because the staff kicked him out of the breakfast area and he didn’t know what to do. I had to get my card reactivated to walk down again and get our shoes so I could get him breakfast and get him away from there. Thankfully it was our last morning there. We won’t be returning.

I booked my hotel block here for my wedding on Nov. 2nd. It was super easy to reserve the hotel block. The customer service we talked to was super nice and helpful. When we actually stayed here it was really easy to check in. The manager left cute towel swans and rose petals for me and my husband. The rooms felt clean and comfortable. The staff was really great to interaxr with.

If I could put zero stars I would. We woke up with bites from bedbugs and the manager had the audacity to ask us not to tell her employees until we knew for sure. Disgusting service, will be calling corporate.
