Poe's catered a Celebration of Life on the day after Thanksgiving and did a wonderful job. Chicken, mashed potatoes and gravy, green beans and rolls all hot and delicious even though we arrived to church late. Servers very kind, attentive and even wrapped leftovers up so I could drop them off to those less fortunate. Great experience from beginning to end!

HIGHLY recommend! We had our wedding reception here and it was the absolute perfect day. Very reasonably priced, wonderful venue, easy to work with, out of this world food! I could go on and on. The Poe's are wonderful to work with (we were out of state during the planning process and they made it so easy on us). We got so many compliments on the venue and the food!

we were extremely happy with our wedding reception at Poe's! the venue is so beautiful and the food is AMAZING! we had so many people tell us how much they loved the food. Angela and Lance are so great about working with you to make sure you have your vision of a dream wedding day! They are always there to answer any questions and have great insight into other vendors (DJ, etc.) We are so happy we chose Poe's!

Our daughter got married on October 13, 2018. We began working with Angela and Lance in early 2017. We were able to go to one of their tastings to pick out what food to offer.

They were very helpful in recommending excellent vendors and guiding us on a timeline for the event. Their facility is an awesome, large, blank space with many options. We were able to decorate on Friday and tear down on Sunday. We also were able to take home the leftovers.

This is a great venue, in a country setting, just outside of Springfield.

Thank you Angela, Lance and team for working so hard to make it all come together as planned! Everyone had a great time and we received so many lovely compliments.

We just hosted our son's wedding at Poe's. This place is a rare gem!! If you are thinking of planning any event, you must check them out. The food was outstanding!! We had the stuffed mushrooms and bacon wrapped sausages and fruit for appetizers and then Caesar salad, Texas Potato Casserole, Loaded Mashed Potatoes, California Medley Blend Vegetables, Corn, Smoked Beef Brisket, Cavatappi with Chicken. It was all so yummy!! Everyone was commenting on how good the food was. The Poe's were so amazing and took care of EVERY detail for us! We could not have asked for anything better!!

If I could give this place 0 stars I certainly would. This is not an inexpensive venue. You would think their ceremony area in front of the pond would have fresh mulch, maybe some landscaping, but no it's run down and unkempt. The ground needs leveled, chairs don't sit flat, there's a hill to hike up & we were pulling the flower girl in a wagon so that was inconvenient. The owners were rude to the bride and her family from the get go, very disrespectful and just radiated that they didn't care about her wedding at all. Just another check. Apparently there were a few people drinking in the parking lot & instead of understanding it's not the bride's job to control 200 people and kicking those few people out the owner told the bartenders to refuse the entire wedding alcohol for the rest of the evening, at 9:30 & we had the venue until 11. They would not reconsider and just ask those people to leave, the bride was sobbing, the entire party was upset for her, and we ended up leaving and going to a local bar to finish out her reception. I have never experienced such a horrible end to a wedding. Just know they do not care about your special day what-so-ever. Also contacting the bad business bureau.

Venue is nice, food was okay. Service staff was great. However the owner is on a serious power trip. Threatened to shut down the whole wedding because the bridal party had a cooler ready to put in the limo (we weren’t drinking anything yet). Then they shut down the bar service an hour early because the owner caught ONE person drinking out of a bottle in the parking lot. To put it bluntly this is one of the tamest weddings I’ve ever been to and we basically got kicked out. I feel bad for the staff, but the owner really should not be in the entertainment business. I’ve never seen someone treat the bride and bridal party so bad. Look elsewhere for a reception hall.
