Summer camp, family lake house, a little farther north and we might call it a resort. Alpine is our answer to the lake life without having to own a lake home. It’s laid back with great people, great food, a pool and beach, docks for a boat, bocce, basketball or just a nap in a hammock. It’s a member driven club so you don’t feel like a guest and the memories are all yours. It’s a rare find we look forward to each spring.

The Alpine Club is a hidden gem that I wish I would have found 20 years ago. Who would of thought that you could find a great "lake house" without having to drive hours away. The Alpine Club is a fantastic place to spend the summer with your family and friends. The club is also a wonderful place for kids to learn how to swim, waterski, paddle board, fish and enjoy the outdoors. If you've never been to the Alpine Country Club make this the year that you check it out.

I love Alpine. It’s the perfect get away from the city for a day or a weekend of fun and relaxation. Tho only about 45 mins to an hour from Chicago, you feel worlds away as the stress of the week melts off within minutes of arriving. You are welcomed by friends old and new the moment you enter and from there, the day is yours to do as you please. Read a book on the beach or join the volleyball game, sit on the porch enjoying the view, swim in the pool or go on a boat ride, ski, wakeboard or just relax alone or with friends, whatever your preference, you can do as you please. Breakfast on the porch with friends and chit chat over coffee. It really is idyllic.
I have brought friends here from out of town and all they say is that they wish they had a place like this where they live. Sometimes I bring people there and other times just prefer to enjoy the friends I’ve made there. The family atmosphere is amazing. Your children are enjoying the day with newfound friends at the beach, on the swings or perhaps on a boat. The choice is yours and theirs.
After a wonderful day, have dinner with friends or your family in the dining room, enjoying the chatter of the days events and the laughter that surrounds you. Following dinner a relaxing drink on the porch or a more lively one in the bar around a game of pool or life size Jenga. The beauty here is, no need to drive home. You can stay over in a room you rented for the night just upstairs or in one of the cottages on the property. It is wonderful and I cannot day enough about it. Lifelong friendships are built up here. It is an atmosphere like no other. Nirvana.

What a wonderful place! The lake in so clean and the boating facilities, including on-premises gas pump and excellent piers and boat ramp, make this a really unique place to enjoy watersports. The Clubhouse is like a large bed and breakfast with great all-day dining and bar facilities. The view from the dining room overlooking the lake is incredible! But the best thing about this Club is that its run by the members and really caters to families and friends. We've made life-long friends here and my whole family looks forward to summer season at the Alpine. I can't believe there's such a cool place so close to Chicago.

Alpine is a unique opportunity offering all anyone could want in lieu of the expense and hassle of owning a lake house. We rent a room most weekends, enjoy the wonderful people and food and hanging out in the bar at night playing pool I’ve met some great people.
We were boaters without a lake house and with the marina at Alpine it has become our second home. We absolutely love the laid back vibe of the club, the families are great and great food and friendly staff make Alpine a real winner being so close to home in Chicago.

Alpine is my home away from home. I have very fond memories of growing up there. Now I love relaxing by the pool and enjoy seeing so many new members and their families making new memories. I have made many friends thru the club. I am constantly meeting people that say...I remember going there when I was young. Well low and behold a suggestion is made that they come and visit again only to discover they still love it and end up joining so their kids can enjoy it like they did.
This is a wonderful summer get away for a family. My kids grew up with Alpine and learned a lot more than swimming, skiing, boating and bocce.They learned how to speak to people of all ages, they learned respect, they learned independence, and they learned how to have a great time without television. They played outside all day until it was time to come in for dinner with everyone. They enjoyed marvelous meals( it gave me a break from cooking) sometimes at a "kids" table where the older kids would help the little ones. We are one BIG family up there.
It is absolutely worth the hour drive to come up to Alpine to see what it offers. You will understand the feeling we as members all share. Alpine is like I said...your "Home away from Home". We are not fancy up here but we are very family friendly!

Family summer home years ago but did not like doing manual labor on my weekends off or vacation time. Always when I was trying to relax from a busy week at work, something would break and I would spend the weekend fixing it. Alpine Country Club solved that problem. Meals from the restaurant, playing pool in bar or just sitting down and enjoying a cocktail with friends. The marina is on the country club grounds and visible from the club house. During the day you can go boating, skiing, tubing, wakeboarding, surfing or just relaxing on the boat. Always enjoy the large pool and deck. later in the day sitting on the beach watching the sunset with my family after a beautiful day. After dinner you can take a walk on the grounds or play bocce in the bocce courts. Alpine Country Club is a charming place where great family memories are made.
