I love the team at Studio Within! I go to Kristy for my haircut and literally it changed my life to the point that I still fly back for appointments! She is the curl queen of Chicago and truly understands what your hair wants to do, but also what you wanted to do and it’s realistic with you about what she can achieve! I also go to Jacob for my hair color and he gave me the best red I could ever imagine! Love them!

Went in for my first curly cut ever. Found through Deva Curl’s website. I booked less than 12 hours ahead of time and was able to get in with Toni. The salon is absolutely gorgeous. All the equipment is chic and top of the line. My hair was long but had a lot of dead ends and such. Toni made me so comfortable from the beginning and just asked me “why do you like your hair?” as she saw I was frustrated and insecure with the state it was in. She asked about my routine and everything. I told her cut off what needs to be cut off and she explained and showed me while she didn’t cut off more than 1.25 inches of length, it was weighing my hair down so much that when it was washed and dried after (which she walked me through every single step custom to my routine/preferences) my coils were back and springing at my shoulder level! She truly cared and walked me through everything, didn’t force products on me (even though I purchased some anyhow), and helped me love my curly hair again! 10000% recommend. ALSO bonus points for the amazing Latino playlist going the entire time. Truly a vibe!!!

Jacob is great for a curl cut. I’m glad I found someone who listens and does a consult every time. Even for an express cut he asked me how I liked the last cut and asked if I’m comfortable cutting length again.

It was our first time there for my wife and she loved it! Jacob was the stylist and he's phenomenal with his skill on curly hair and he proved it well! My wife was glad she found this place as it's the first time any stylist has brought out the best in her hair. While it's expensive, it's totally worth it. I received a DevaCut from Jacob Greenfield and my hair feels completely new! Jacob explained so many techniques to use on my curls throughout the entire appointment, even changing a few of his product recommendations after he had more time learning about my hair. I could tell how much attention to detail he paid and he did not try to rush my appointment even after a late start. He was recommended to me and now I will recommend him to everyone. Kristy the salon owner is a curl expert and I’ve been going to her for years. I will never go to anyone else. She gives me such amazing haircuts and her brand new salon is absolutely gorgeous and I will never go anywhere else! It’s worth every penny. I have high porosity soft curly hair. I don’t dye my hair and I use a deva blow dryer or air dryer and inner sense products. The staff was so kind to me and made me feel so welcome which is so important to me. Asked if I wanted a latte with extra cinnamon. It was so luxury. It made me feel great! I’m so proud of everything Kristy and this salon has accomplished and we are so lucky to have this place for our curly hair!

Mary is AMAZING. I booked a facial with no extractions and my God I can't wait until I go back. Truly the most relaxing experience I've ever had. She is very knowledgeable about the products she uses and also assesses any concerns or sensitivities prior. My skin looked like a sexy glazed donut when we were done. Can't wait for my next appointment.
