There is a reason why there are some many 1 star reviews!!!!!!! do yourself a favor and stay away. We should have listened. But my husband spoke with the manager and was told things were different now. They are worse! there is no reason to stay here. They could not care less about their customers as they fill up with university events. It is the noisiest hotel. We called, asked for a quieter room away from the renovations and they put us next to the alley where there is garbage pick up. They tell us to wait for a higher room and when we sit then they tell us that room is no longer available. There are so many hotels near by and Chicago is not that far. It is the worst hotel I have stayed at in terms of customer care. They could not care less. One elevator only working for I am not sure how many rooms but clearly over a hundred. Tried for over 24 hours to speak with a manager and he was never available. Despite hundreds of rooms, they always told us they only had the same room available in the same place different floor if we wanted to move. We had a few friends leave today (as they came for the same event) also hated it and we know they were not in the same location. So not true that it is the only room that opened up. Stay away.

Great service, well appointed lobby and rooms. ||||I’m guessing this hotel was built in the early 1900s, as it has that feel. The hallways are somewhat narrow, but the rooms have course been completely modernized. Good sized and everything you would need. The bathroom has a standup shower and was very clean. The room includes a nice flatscreen TV and a safe and all the plugs you need to charge your phone, etc. My room had a nice view of the main street, including the public library.||||I did notice at least my floor, the sixth floor had some scratches on the paint throughout the hallway as well as on my room door

had a wonderful stay at Hilton Evanston Chicago. The front desk staff was incredibly helpful and welcoming—truly amazing people. The room service was exceptional; everything I requested was promptly delivered, and the convenience of communicating via message made it even more seamless. The hotel offers daily room service, keeping the space fresh and tidy. The laundry rooms were spotless and well-maintained, and the bathrooms were simply fantastic. Plus, the hotel’s superior location makes it an ideal choice. Highly recommended!

Thinnest walls of any hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I travel for work almost every other week but staying here on a recent Saturday night was one of the worst hotel stays ive had. The rooms are tiny the bathroom is microscopic. The walls are made of paper. The hallway keys you hear every footstep or cough of anyone passing by. Not to mention the giant group of drunk college something’s who will keep you up until 4 am. Skip this place until it undergoes a full full remodel. I write this as I list to a hairdryer running from a room not even next to me.

I've stayed here several times over the past 8 years, I've had excellent service every time. I'm giving 5 stars for that reason.

The problem I have is with the travel booking site SUPER.COM. They are zero stars ... horrible.

I found them thru google maps. I booked a room, but there was an error in the booking. I contacted them within 10 minutes of discovering this error. They refused to cancel or re-do my booking. I spent time with their chat app, I spent time on the phone, I waited, I spoke with somebody, I waited longer still when they said they would upgrade my issue and have me talk to a manager, who never appeared. At least 60 minutes on the phone, for nothing, no help.

They offer a "non-refundable" rate like many other sites. They also offer a nebulous "refundable" rate which is not in fact refundable, it is subject to a long list of terms.

Errors in booking or routine change in plans do not qualify. This is not clear from the booking engine, there is a link, in fine print, and there is a long-winded explanation form all concerned at SUPER.COM about how this is something like travel insurance, but no, I agreed to the terms so they weren't going to help me fix my booking.

I contacted my credit card company and they cancelled the charges.
