I decided to give Portillo's another chance. Previously I had a terrible experience with hotdogs tha were inedible. I still won't buy their hotdogs but my wife said they are now better than before. However, I decided to go for the beef sandwich to be safe. When I picked up my order what immediately came to mind was "where's the beef". This is the first beef sandwich that I could fully close the bun. The beef was tasty but there wasn't much of it. I think I will be going back to Doggie Diner for my beef sandwich and hotdogs for a better price and size.

Our go to spot for some chili cheese 🧀 hotdogs 😋. Place is always clean and food is always good and fast. Most importantly the staff is always friendly. My kids stop here sometimes twice a week.

I am extremely disappointed in Portillo’s in Shorewood Illinois. With both their customer service and their quality and portion size today.

This is the big beef with sweet peppers and cheddar cheese. Remind you you pay an extra dollar for cheese and another dollar for peppers now and this is what you receive not to mention the portion size of the big beef is literally maybe two layers thick for a beef sandwich. This is absolutely ridiculous. Plus, they forgot the cheese for the cheese fries, and I went back to get the cheese. They were acting like I was stealing it questioning me for a receipt, even though it’s written on the bag. The sweet peppers that I didn’t receive as you can see in the picture are remnants of what they should be and completely soggy like mush. The quality and customer service at this location has severely gone downhill.
