I recently stayed at Hampton Inn & Suites Chicago/Mt. Prospect and had an overall good experience.

The location is excellent, surrounded by plenty of shopping outlets and places to explore, making it convenient for both business and leisure travelers. The rooms are well-equipped with essential amenities like a microwave and refrigerator—features that should be maintained as a standard in every room.

The staff service was commendable, especially the front desk team, who were always attentive and eager to assist, ensuring a pleasant stay. Their hospitality truly stood out.

However, the food and breakfast options were a significant drawback. The limited variety and lack of daily menu changes made it challenging for a week-long stay. The breakfast featured the same items every day, with only two fruit options—apples and oranges. Expanding the selection and offering different fruits daily would greatly enhance the dining experience. One star less for that..!!

Overall, I would consider staying here again, provided there are improvements in the food and breakfast offerings. With some enhancements in this area, the hotel can provide an even better experience for guests.

Had a very nice woman check us in - she was great and thanked me for being a member. ... and I got water and sweet potato chips. Great start till I got to the room ... allllll the way down the hall which had one window and no joke, overlooked the Costco garbage and loading dock. No sleep was not an option. I asked for another room and was given a much larger room with a couch that worked really well - comfortable, more light, sink outside of bathroom. Decor - more 90's. Breakfast was Hampton Inn average. Elevators were slow so we used the stairs. Worked out at Orange theory which is around the corner, shopped at Marshalls and DSW, and bought local beer at Jewel - all walkable. There's also an amazing cafe called Grade A around the corner - the BEST BREAKFAST FOOD! Portions were off the charts.

I feel bad, not leaving a great review because the hotel was in a good location. Everything was clean. Breakfast was actually quite good and the staff was amazing. The problem was the main reason we booked. It was because of the heated indoor pool, which happened to not be working because the heater went out so it is not their fault but it was a real bummer for our overall experience. I would actually highly recommend the hotel. I was just disappointed that I was not told the pool was not working until I was trying to check in.

At checkin was told a mistake was made and I was charged for three day stay even though I had paid in full on Expedia. I was told a refund for charge would be issued. The charge was on my debit card which I had used for incidental charges. When I saw charge appear I went to reception. They assured me charge was only pending and would not be charged. Asked for email confirmation which they promised to send. They never sent it. Also asked if they could give me a printout that I would not be charged. They refused. Two days after pending charge turned into final charge. I am Extremely upset at hotels lack of effort to correct $400 charge. The front desk staff was not helpful. I called again tonight and was assured it would be reversed. I have lost confidence in the process of a refund. Very disappointing experience all around.

I had a wonderful experience staying at the Hampton Inn & Suites in Mt. Prospect, IL. I requested a room on the top floor with a balcony, and they were able to accommodate my request with only a minimal additional fee, which I was aware of in advance. The room exceeded my expectations—it was absolutely impeccable, and the balcony added a nice touch to the overall experience. The hotel also offers secure parking in a private garage beneath the building, which made coming and going a breeze.

Although I only stayed one night after attending a wedding, I appreciated the complimentary breakfast served until 10 AM. I didn’t have a chance to use all the amenities, but I noticed they have a gym, pool, and lounge areas that would definitely enhance a longer stay. Overall, I was very impressed and would absolutely book here again if I needed to stay in the area!

This was our second time staying at this hotel. First time was great. This time was awful. The pool was closed because the heater had broke 2 weeks prior. The website did not state the pool was broken(I would have not booked if I had known). We were notified at check in that it was closed. The room seemed to be clean until we were ready to go to bed. The bed had a disgusting wet stain. The front desk was nice enough to move us rooms but it was gross. Breakfast was average. Overall, very disappointing stay. Location is convenient but I don’t know I’ll stay again.

Great Location. It's in a shopping center with lots of food options and a Costco. We were there for a wedding near by, but there were lots of youth sports teams staying. It seems like a smart choice given all the food and shopping near by. Rooms were clean. Gym was nice. You can't see it from the pics but there are free weights. The morning breakfast was ok. Waffles and breakfast meats were great but the eggs were pretty watery.

I will limit this review to the property itself. It's an average Hampton Inn. We booked it for 5 days to visit family and friends for the Thanksgiving holiday. We received a lackadaisical greeting when we checked in. No mention of our status or that they were happy for us to stay with them. They had me sign paperwork for my small service dog ( they advertised as "Pet Friendly") and reminded me to clean up behind my dog. I booked a Suite. The first suites view, was of the Hvac system and parapet wall. We went back to the desk, and asked for a higher room, and closer to the elevator, to accommodate my dog, when she needs to go out. Oh, there is no actual pet area at this location.| Room was average. The free breakfast was average. The elevator system completely sucks. Parking is under ground and you must pay for it. 1 elevator from lower level to lobby, the other elevator from lower to all floors. Coming from your room, when you push down, you may get one that goes to lobby, or the one that goes all the way to parking..| The worst part was returning Thursday night. We found the lower hallway from the parking garage loaded with screaming youth hockey kids. We had to ask them repeatedly to ove so we could enter and get to the elevator. They were also "riding" the elevators up and down. When I took my talk out, I encountered the same issue, even though, now I was coming through the lobby level. The noise was pretty loud also. I spoke to the front desk about all of the commotion, and was told they would speak to the parents. Friday was a repeat with the kids, noise, elevators, etc. After checking out Friday, we decided to NOT stay at a Hilton property for the rest of our traveling weekend.
