WORST DINE IN EXPERIENCE EVER.
I ordered a number 2. Cold. The first time it came hot and was missing tomato and onions. I went back and they remade it cold… still no onion or tomato… I go back for onion and tomato and they gave me one tomato slice? Are you kidding me? If I’m paying almost $15 for a sandwich it better have what I asked for on it and at least the correct amount… first time here, I won’t be back.

Picked up some food here before work yesterday. The process was pretty simple, starting at the counter furthest from the door. I got a #2 as suggested by the attendant, and a small side of mac & cheese. The sandwich was absolutely delicious! Even though I wasn't able to eat it until a few hours later! Prices are great for the portions you get. There was the perfect amount of meat and toppings! Loved it! The staff was incredibly helpful for my first visit, as well!

I hit this spot once a week to hit the spot. It’s sooooo friggin tasty, every sandwich is made to order with fresh ingredients, the soups are comforting and flavorful, and I oddly think the part I love the most is that there’s no frills in the dining experience. You can dine in or take out but they definitely focus more on quality of food than souping up the decor, it’s a streamlined experience when you want good food quickly. It’s about the same price as subway with twice the satisfaction, 10/10 will continue to be my treat spot on days where I’m running errands in the city :3

Arthur’s Garden Deli is hands down the best sandwich shop in the Quad Cities! From the moment you walk in, the welcoming atmosphere makes you feel right at home. The Work of Art sandwich is a game-changer! It’s absolutely delicious, packed with flavors, and perfectly crafted. Every bite is a masterpiece. Whether you’re a regular or a first-timer, you can’t go wrong here. The quality, the freshness, and the care put into every sandwich is unmatched. Highly recommend this spot for anyone craving a top-notch sandwich in Rock Island!

Very enjoyable experience eating here today. Very good sandwiches with good service. I really enjoyed their pastrami sandwich, but could have used a little more meat. Very tasty, though. Reasonably priced good meal. Enjoy!

Normally, when you arrive at any food establishment now a days 30, 20, 15 mins prior to closing all staff make you feel unwanted, you get crabby rushed food and you just feel bad for entering a establishment before close…. With Arthur’s deli, that certainly was NOT the case. The manager was so nice, so pleasant was happy to take our order and still prepared our meals just as they would have at any time of the day! The best customer service and the best food!!!! Thank you Arthur’s deli for being so good to your customers!!!! 10/10! We always come here to eat and forever will ❤️❤️❤️

We always drive by this area and we see a lot of cars here so we decided to try it. This place has a really good ambiance. The food was great as well; I didn’t expect it to taste that good because it was just served on disposable stuff (since it’s the pandemic, so it’s definitely okay). The quantity of food was just enough and the quality is really good. I was very much surprised with their turtle cake—it was divine. 🤤 We will definitely come back! 👍

My family is originally from Dixon, IL. I have many memories of driving back there to visit grandparents and distinctly remember the billboard for the Galena Avenue location on the way into town being there for decades. I don't think I actually ever went to the Dixon location. I have, however, visited the location in Rock Island a few times and enjoy that location.

Arthur's is set up to serve sandwiches and the associates sides cafeteria style. You place your order for your sandwich, pick up a tray, select your other sides along the counter, then pay at the register. From order to sandwich acquisition I think I might have waited a total of 3-4 minutes. Such speed!

The laid back and plebian nature in which you get your food extends to the dining area, as well. Wood paneling transitions to a dull plaid carpet, HVAC and air movement is handled by a combination of ceiling fans and diffusers along the ceiling, and lighting is low, provided by individual fixtures over the booths along the periphery and a series of accent light strips in some places. Prominently displayed along the ceiling is a cast metallic floral tiled area, which lends a look of age and sophistication to the space. I feel compelled at this point to clarify that I'm not judging any of these features. The space is warm and unfussy and was perfect for the sandwich and chips I got for dinner. I was relaxed and enjoyed my visit here.

This enjoyment extended to the sandwich and chips as well. I selected a pastrami and Swiss with Dijon mustard on a wheat sub roll with kettle chips to accompany. Both were fantastic. The chips (Cape Cod brand) were exactly what kettle chips should be - crisp, salty, and just a little greasy. The pastrami sandwich was great too - the meat and cheese were fine, the bread was ever so slightly warmed, and the whole thing came together to be a great sandwich. I'd definitely get this again.

Although I like Arthur's, it's a 40 minute drive from work and about a 30 minute drive from home in Bettendorf, so I probably won't be back any time soon. If you're close by, I'd recommend stopping in. The food is simple and good - just what I needed tonight. Thanks, Arthur's!
