I chose this hotel because of its proximity to the Lincoln Museum, Library and home. The hotel was clean and welcoming. Our room was comfortable with a very nice. The bathroom was great, as well as the shower, good water pressure. The bed was very comfortable. My only complaint was the restaurant, the menu for breakfast, and dinner was not to our liking, and the food was just okay.

For such a nice hotel i was truly blown away at the fact that there was no complimentary breakfast option. I would have appreciated the fact that i could order off the menu for a price if at least the breakfast buffet was free like most hotels. I will say, the waitresses/food staff were all amazing. So nice and welcoming. It was also disappointing to find out that when my friend ordered dinner, our delivery driver was not allowed to deliver food to our room. finding this out, i assumed hotel staff would maybe bring it up. I was informed by the delivery person he was told to just “leave it somewhere” in the lobby and to not deliver it to us. my friend who ordered is disabled, so i’m glad we were with her to go get it for her. other than this, the hotel was nice and clean.

I will never stay here again.I am a Hilton Gold Member. I had a reservation for 2 nights. The night before my stay the app suggested I check in. Which I did. The morning of our stay our reason for being in Springfield was rescheduled to May. I called the hotel asking not for a cancellation but simply to move my reservation to May. Reservations consulted with Front Desk. I was told no it was same day. I repeated I did not want to cancel, just change the dates. I was told I already checked in on the app so they couldn't change. I asked to speak to a higher up that could make this adjustment which I know for a fact can be done. I was sent to someones voice mail which did not indicate what position within the hotel they held. They left me a rambling message at 8:30pm saying the only thing I could do was check out early which would basically cost me a one nights stay plus the early check out fee. In the meantime I was charged the entire amount of the stay before the actual 4pm check in time.

First of all, I arrived at the hotel at 4:40pm, which was past the check-in time of 4pm, and I was told that there was no room ready, so I had to wait 50 minutes before I could get the key. On this day, I was very tired from driving since 4am and working all day, so I wanted to get into the hotel room quickly and relax, but the late check-in gave me a bad image of the hotel.
The washbasin was uncomfortable because the water pressure was weak, and the water had an iron odor that made me feel uncomfortable.
The mattress was very old and made me feel tired even after a good night's sleep, but I guess this can't be helped since it's not a first-class hotel.
Fortunately, the other guests staying in the hotel were very quiet and well-behaved, but the hotel didn't seem to live up to the standards of its guests.

If you want sleep this may not be the place for you… The doors to the rooms are original to the building made of heavy steel. You can hear when someone is leaving or coming. Loud slamming all night/morning. Hotel has serval contracts with the school systems. At 9pm a school bus arrived. We heard children running up and down the hallway. The hotel seems dated but I guess overall clean.

This hotel isn’t the most modern of places. But it’s comfortable with spacious rooms. Location is great if you’re looking for Abraham Lincoln’s home and Presidential Museum/Library. These are within a few minutes walking distance. Lincoln’s Tomb is further away. I took an Uber there but walked back (took about 40 minutes). |There are no grocery stores in the downtown area. So you’ll have to rely on the hotel mini-mart or go further afield. About 20 minutes away on foot is a large supermarket and CVS. |Restaurant had a decent offering. I had the Horseshoe. It was HUGE. And delicious. |A thank you goes out to Alex at Reception. He was unable to help with an issue when I phoned just before checking in. So he gave a complimentary breakfast voucher to make up for it. I thought that was excellent. |I didn’t like the shower in the bathroom. It was pretty poor. Also the pool was closed for maintenance.

This hotel is repeatedly disappointing. Many conferences I attend are located here and unfortunately this is the closest location but today is the LAST time that I will be silent about how they address customers and the raggedy accommodations. It makes no sense that when staying in a location away from home I have to feel unwanted or unsafe. I do NOT recommend this hotel until Hilton and Christi Rios make it a priority to get better staffing and updated accommodations. Today the current front desk manager argued with me repeatedly and accused me of the error! I am in tears from their treatment. Hilton brand has severely fallen off in recent years.
