We recently stayed at this hotel, and unfortunately, it was far from the experience we were hoping for.||In our room (423), the bathtub water control handle fell off, revealing a poor attempt at repair with glue. The sheets had not been changed from the previous guest and had a noticeable, unpleasant odor. Additionally, the bathroom floors were not well cleaned, and there was no sink drain plug, which nearly caused us to lose a toothpaste cap down the drain. The toilet seat cover was also missing, leaving us with a public bathroom-style toilet — not what we expected for a private room.||To make matters worse, the elevator was out of service. While we are in our 70s and in good health, climbing four flights of stairs with our bags was a challenge. Thankfully, we had packed light.||Our friends in room 321 faced similar issues. They found food left behind by previous guests in their fridge, had only one towel provided, and their TV wouldn’t connect to the network, leaving them without any channels. When they sought assistance from the front desk, they received no help.||The hotel was fully booked, so changing rooms wasn’t an option. While the breakfast room was clean and the food was okay, it wasn’t enough to overshadow the other problems we encountered.||The one bright spot was the hotel manager, Kelly. She was apologetic and visibly frustrated, citing post-COVID staffing shortages and limited corporate support. Her professionalism in the face of these challenges was appreciated, and she did offer us a 25% discount. However, no amount of compensation can make up for the lack of basic cleanliness and functionality.||Until significant improvements are made, I can’t recommend staying here. I sincerely hope management invests in better maintenance and housekeeping to prevent other guests from having a similar experience.

This place is a joke. The elevator did not work. Neither did our tv. When the front desk was informed about the tv, we were told nothing could be done. A previous guest’s food was left in the fridge. The thermostat mounting bracket had been left on the wall which could very easily scratch someone. We complained to the mgr, who was very nice, & upon leaving were refunded $50. Corporate needs to get involved to turn this hotel around. I would never stay here again.

Made a reservation here well in advance for a visit . The main concern with staying in the area was being near the location. We would be spending most of our time. Made the reservation directly through the front desk at the property and was informed that they were only a few minutes away from the location. We were hoping to be close to. once we arrived, we discovered that it was actually almost 4 times as far away as they had told me. Also, during the stay noticed several things about the hotel that were not fully acceptable. We couldn’t get the door to open to the room multiple times during the stay. also, the pillows are not even regular full-size pillows. They are small little squares wrapped in pillowcases. Our particular room was missing half of the window curtain. All in all not the most pleasant stay. After leaving, I got in contact with choice hotels to complain about the situation and I was put in touch with the property manager. The property manager, then went on to be argumentative and tell me that the people at the reservation call center had misinformed me when I made the reservation, but that’s not the case because I made the reservation through the front desk of the hotel and actually confirmed that that’s how it was made with choice hotels. A hotel is in the hospitality industry, which means sometimes you need to face up to your mistakes and make the guest happy, having worked in hotels for a long time I am aware of that. It may not be everybody’s favorite thing to do, but this hotel definitely did not want to face up to the fact that mistakes were made and was not interested in being helpful. I was able to get a satisfactory resolution through choice hotels however if that’s how you have to come about your resolution my best bet is to probably not stay at this property in the future. If you’re just looking for a hotel room in the Springfield area and you don’t mind staying way outside of downtown then feel free to book here, but I will not give a recommendation for this property because they chose to not only provide a less than satisfactory stay, but they also chose to argue When concerns were raised .

I booked online for two rooms with two beds per room - got checked in to two rooms with one king bed and a hide-a-bed — THAT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE! But was not able to cancel without being charged. I asked for rooms on first floor as I have trouble walking - I was told they only have 3 rooms on first floor out of the almost dozen doors I saw when looking down the hallway. About half the lights worked in each room. When trying to get extra blankets when we returned for the night ( just after midnight) I waited at front desk and rang the bell a few times and knocked on door to ballroom that said employees only and even calling hotel on my phone and got no answer - I went up to room and tried calling front desk a few times before finally getting an answer. By then I was frustrated and not my best and tired. When she finally brought the blankets up she was on the phone and almost tossed them at me with attitude. I will NOT return to this place - which will be best for us and them. I have worked in the hotel industry and have never treated anyone like that.

3 night stay. All throughout my stay I kept calling front desk, tracked the lady for housekeeping on the floor and god knows how many efforts to get room service but to no avail. Requested pillows and no one cared for days. Breakfast coffee ran out and no one bothered to refill. Extremely disappointed.

Good: easy to get to, park, shop next door for forgotten/needed items, GREAT breakfast selection.

Bad: Mascara stained bed sheets, balloons, and food from previous guests in our room. Swimming pool was hazy. Plenty of chlorine, so we rolled the dice on safety there. 'Fitness Center' would be described as a 'Cardio Closet.' Yes they have a weight machine, but unless you plan to only do upper body, no room to perform movement without hitting front treadmill. Front treadmill and elliptical are positioned so that user is right under the lights, so you have to be careful to watch your head so you don't hit them, and then them off to not have the heat. Room was set to heat to 70, but was 80+ in the room, with no fan. Lastly despite several requests to front desk, sanitizer wipes were never filled, so had to use baby wipes to clean up after my workout. Classic case of someone have to shoehorn in a 'fitness center' that has no idea what people look for.

We stayed here for 1 night and were less than impressed. We had requested a room with 2 queen beds for our family of 4 and was given a room with 1 king bed instead. The shower was very difficult to use and the hot water was almost non existent. Our toilet was nearly broken. At 10:30pm we had a man at our door trying to get into our room scaring us half to death. 5 minutes we got a phone call from the front office and they had double booked this room. The next day we had not checked out and were in our room again. We had housekeeping banging on our door loudly at 9:30am. We will not be staying here again.

I was very dissatisfied about most everything with my stay recently. I was trying to book a room on the choice rewards app., but was giving me a discount for military/veterens, when I selected it. I decided to call the hotel and the lady said they a room and she put the discount on there. I said ok, but I will have to call back in 20 mins to book. When I called back, she then said she couldn’t give me a room because they were fully booked. I went back on the choice rewards app. and booked a 2 queen room. When I got to the hotel at approximately 10:30pm, and got my room, it was a king. The room reeked of cigarette smoke, it was 55 degrees. (Freezing) in the room. It was late, by this time and we were tired. We turned the heat up in the room but it didn’t warm up until about 4am. By 8am, the room smelled bad of cigarette smoke. When I checked out, I informed the front desk lady of all this and she didn’t even offer me anything. I will not be staying here again.
