nice place for a birthday party. one of the exits not visible from inside the main room. trail behind the cabin easily leads to river bank.

It was our first time using it, though we have walked or driven by numerous times. It's a really nice little cabin, it had 5 picnic tables in it, a sink area and a refrigerator and stove. It also has men's and women's rest rooms. I didn't use any of it, but was nice, just in case. I had a kid's birthday party there, and it was great because you could play inside or out, and there is a fire pit, and a grill that you can use. They do ask that you clean up after yourself, but they have a broom and mop closet and garbage that you can you use. It was a good time, and I think it would be great for any number of get- togethers. You do have to go, in person, to the Village of Riverside Parks and Recreation to save the date and pay for the cabin rental. They have no on line reservation.

My family has been residents in Riverside for over125 years. We have never been Given such poor customer service by people who could care less about their job, at the office where you rent this facility. We had to go to the office to fix the offices mistakes three times because of the high school kids they hired to work the counter that don’t care at all. Countless hours spent trying to rent a cabin was ridiculous. The director decided to keep our deposit because he said that we had broken a fire grate, that was broken before we had gotten there. He was willing to give us post party pictures but could not provide any pre-party pictures to show that the metal fire grate was previously not broken. The other reason he had said they were keeping our deposit was because we didn’t take the trash out which was bundled in garbage bags outside of the cabin like we were told to do. Is it possible in this wooded area a raccoon could’ve possibly opened the garbage bags in the area we were told to leave them? Upon trying to communicate with the director about these issues we were pretty much told too bad so sad and they sent us a $50 check back for a $250 deposit.

You can rent a 10 person cabin to Sleeping in for about half the price of this. Guess it's overcharging for the gas and electricity

Absolutely beautiful great place to go visit anybody in the hood neighborhood got to go there to walk the trails
