Such a wonderful getaway! My husband was doing some genealogical research up this way and we found this wonderful home to stay in. The beds were very comfy and the sheets were soft. The breakfast was AMAZING. Four courses every morning! We ended up not needing lunch on the days we stayed. LOL! The house can give off spooky vibes from the outside, but any willies are quickly dispelled upon meeting the owner! She is a gem and so hospitable! She makes sure you are well taken care of.||I would definitely recommend this place for any couples looking to get away for a few days. It was quiet and relaxing!

Everything here was phenomenal. I was disappointed about not being able to stay in the mansion due to the water pipes having issues. However, Christine upgraded our stay to the biggest cottage on the property. It was absolutely wonderful! Christine was very accommodating and hospitable. The food was amazing. The cottage was unbelievably comfortable. My husband and I will be returning and hoping to stay in the mansion next time. Thank you so much Christine. You're an absolute treasure. ❤️

We enjoyed our stay at Garth Mansion. It was easy to find and parking was plentiful. The accommodations were very nice, authentic and well appointed. The house felt like it was well maintained. Breakfast was delicious. Our only issue was that our check in was less than thorough and we were unable to get back into the house quickly on both evenings of our stay. When I brought this up with owner after our stay, she was apologetic. We hope to stay here again in the future.

What a great experience! We were very impressed with the mansion and the grounds. Felt very authentic and historic. The staff were exceedingly kind and knowledgeable and are doing an excellent job of maintaining and preserving the original building on the property. Our room was very nice and cozy (especially once we got the fire going)! Breakfast was delicious! Can’t wait to come back! Thanks for everything!

Went for first time with wife on our anniversary. Place was clean, private and romantic. |Breakfast was great and so was the service. |Would definitely go back and stay longer. Enjoyed the history of this home as well as the town. Our stay was conveniently close to the sites!

We stayed at the Garth Mansion while we were in Hannibal. Let me start by saying there are new owners. They've been there since March. They bought the place lock, stock, and barrel..... and are working diligently to get it where they want it. They are working to find the right people to fix things properly that need special attention and are working on things they can do on their own. In the near future, they plan to start growing their own food. With that said, the place as it is is quite nice. The folks we met are very personable and attentive. Breakfasts were awesome, and fitting of Southern expectations..... you don't leave hungry! The rooms are very nice. We had one with a whirlpool tub. |The only problem....GPS doesn't get you there as it should. They do try to get this corrected.|We would definitely stay here again. It is one of the top places we have stayed.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at Garth Mansion. The estate is breathtaking, and the Mansion is absolutely stunning, but not fussy or hands off. This B & B is one of the finest that I have ever experienced. Our room was incredibly romantic. Breakfast was delicious! We will be back!

We had a lovely if short stay. They were very kind and accommodating of our last minute reservation and late arrival on a long trip for which Hannibal was a last minute stop. The mansion is beautiful and very well kept and the staff is friendly and enthusiastic. Breakfast was gourmet quality and delicious. We look forward to returning for a longer stay!
