From the moment of setting up pool closings, not being on the list to having to call numerous times to verify service. Then for them to not show up. When their own employees bash the owners there is definitely a business issue. Despite all the bad reviews (bad things can happen here in there in a company) we decided to overlook the reviews. The service, customer service is horrible. The guy who works there is in every sense of the word self inflated. Cares nothing about his customers or his ability to care. We were getting pool service there as we have an in ground pool. Run around after run around. Despite it all we were wanting to purchase a hot tub and were ready to purchase it was like we were a bother to even speak to us to buy one. Then bailed on us three days in a row for service. They would say when you call they will call you when heading out then never call, show up and say sorry you weren't there. Then say they are going to get parts then never to come back the next day (when they say they would) Call 5pm to say sorry not today either and we still didn't stop to get the parts that we said we would get yesterday. Had no care in the world about the crappy service. Needless to say we called cancelled booked another pool company to fill our pool needs and purchased a hot tub with no issues in a matter of two days and getting delivered on Saturday. Best decision we ever made was taking our 8 k and giving it to another pool company that treated customers with respect. Don't just walk away from this store but run. You will thank all the reviews later. It takes time to actually write these out, time out of our day. So we must have been pretty upset. Consider all the customers who just took their business elsewhere.

I have been a customer of Midwest Pool & Spa Quincy, Illinois for 27 years & I have always had great service! They taught me how to close my pool correctly with the right products so I can have a beautiful clear pool when I open it every year! They are my pool family & I will stick with them for as long as they will have me!!

Emailed these guys about a month ago about their services. Never received any email back. My fiancée called them today to just maybe see if they received the email and was rudely told that they don’t have time for any of the services that they have listed on their site. Called the another local place and they were nothing but nice and have them coming out this week to help with our pool needs. My fiancée’s family just installed a pool at their home and were looking for a good company to help with their needs so I definitely won’t be home to recommending these guys at all.

I would give this place 0 stars, and a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. I know Quincy only has a few options for pool work, but if you can, don't use these people. Me, my wife, and her aunt all had troubles getting a person to show up at the house. My wife and I live out of town, so when we come back and have a window, we try to work on the house. Every time we called in advance for an appointment, their service person was a no show for the date we set up. Her aunt had to take off work on 3 separate occasions before someone finally showed up. That's three wasted vacation days. When they finally did, they brought a couple employees with them that seemed pretty sketchy...looking around the house in places they didn't need to be. Days later the house was broken into (unproven it was their employees, but very probable). After all that (2 months of this), Midwest sent her a bill for around $300 for a small piece of PVC pipe that didn't fit the system. Apparently they forgot how to get paid or what 'service' actually is.

They didn't finish my pool the summer they started the work. They didn't return the following spring to finish the job. They were already paid for the serves. I had to get a lawyer and sue them to get some of my money back. Terrible company!

My last name was Keim when this occurred. I know there are court records to substantiate my review.

Called for a pool cover estimate. Told me to call back. When I called, I was given wrong information on who I needed to talk to and they hung up on me. Very disappointing because we have been customers for a few years. No longer will have my business.

I called this morning needing replacement gaskets. I have alot going on, needless to say I could not think of the names of what I needed. The Kind young lady with customers there looked up what I needed and called me back. Very helpful.
