I had stayed at the Americas Best in International Falls, MN, and that one was really really good. This one was a step down, but still pretty good for the cost, honestly. Air conditioner was strong and kept my room cool, bed was comfortable enough to get a good sleep. There was a small area with a continental breakfast in the morning. If heading through here and Wenona is a decent halfway point (or your final destination), this will do for sure.

Positive: It was in my hometown so I was familiar with the area. I was in town for a class reunion. The weather was great for walking for exercise and I was close to the cornfields. (I grew up on a farm, so I'm familiar with cornfields). Negative: The overhead light in the bathroom was not working properly so the lighting in the bathroom was dim. My one tire in my rental car was losing air, so everything is relative. I enjoyed my stay there.

Great owners with smiles checking in and smiles checking out, even tho my gf was 45 mins late getting out of the room. But clean.. comfortable bed..will come back

If I could go into negative numbers, I would. Bedbugs! The rooms do not look like the photos.|I'm not sure it's even the same place. The rooms were filthy. The shower- filthy. When I went to check the bed, under several layers of stained sheets, the mattress was horribly stained. |The outlets are overloaded and they have outlet plugs with extra outlets- which didn't work. Carpets, mirrors, sheets - everything looks like it needs to be thrown away and replaced. I don't know what is going on there, but it's very unhealthy. Would not recommend it. Period. Spend the extra money in Bloomington on a decent hotel. You'll be glad you did. I would recommend the Hampton Inn. Beautiful and now owned by Hilton.

Bedbugs. Filthy room. Having to argue for a refund. Argue that they only gave 1 key card, and not 2. This place is disgusting. I've never seen a hotel in such need of a remodel and exterminator. The pictures they show must have been taken at another hotel, they look NOTHING like the awful rooms we had.
Bedbugs, stained mattress, peeling wallpaper, dangerously overloaded plugs. This place should be shut down until they remodel the entire hotel. We left after a bedbug was crawling towards someone. Then checked the rooms again and the whole mattress and was pretty freaked out. The mattress was ... beyond words. Filthy. Wish the owners good luck if they are remodeling.

The folks that are running the hotel are very nice.. rooms are nice and clean only problem I had is the TV sits too low on the dresser from the bed.. not much to eat convenience store with Burger King and a good little Mexican restaurant easy off the highway.. country setting. and some big truck parking

Caution Bed Bug infestation.
Not a safe place to stay for your health.
The room was filthy and surfaces were covered in filth. I was afraid to touch anything.

At 10pm I discovered a bed bug in my bed. I alerted the staff, who then handed me a can of RAID Roach spray which isn't effective on bed bugs. Luckily they have me a different room for the night because I had zero options to go to another hotel.

The next room was just as dirty and I deeply regret starting at this hotel.

Don't stay there total dump . Coffee pot in room didn't work. Absolutely nothing eatable at breakfast. Not even bread for toast. Did stay there in the past never again |Awful awful awful. Don't have anything else to say. Bad bad bad.....🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑🤑
