The Best Western has been at the top of my list for this hillside Illinois location for many events from my high school Farragut as well as steppers sets They are known to be the best! The rooms are clean big beautiful the linens are crisp and clean and soft You will receive one of the best night's sleeps you ever had even if you didn't want to sleep. The staff the cleanliness everything is impeccable This is a must visit hotel. I was here for bereavement services so it wasn't the best of times but this was the end of the trip and it made it better.

Decent area. We came from Wisconsin for a funeral. Toilet leaked all night I almost fell walking into the bathroom. My boys let staff know and were pretty much brushed off. No discount or no one came to fix or check it out. My blankets on my bed were not clean at all. Visible stains so housekeeping is horrible. I just took the dirty one off. We were asked if we needed housekeeping but for what if they aren’t going to do their job properly. The guy from last night was awesome. No problems at all. Then breakfast was $12 for the buffet which normally in any other hotel breakfast is free and complimentary so I guess only coffee and water is complimentary. My boys were ready for a little breakfast but were disappointed when told it cost and they could not bring any food at all to the room. I’ve never been to a hotel that charges for breakfast.

Upon arrival it was impossible not to notice the horrid weed smell, overpowering. Before you even hit the entry door it just smacks you in the face. I even mentioned it to the nice person that checked me in, but I got that there is nothing he can really do about it. Was clear rampant weed usage in the hotel, outside, the lobby, the elevator all absolutely reeked. It wasn't until I got in my room I was able to get away from it. Had dinner in the onsite restaurant twice while I stayed and had no issues, good food, fair price and the staff was good. The breakfast situation however is entirely a different story. I'm fine with a paid breakfast buffet like they had at this location, it's just the specific service that I had issues with. Walking into the restaurant its hard to tell if it costs money or not because both days I went in there, there were no employees to be found initially. The first day I had to sit down at the bar and just wait for an employee to finally come around, which was several minutes, I could have easily just gotten food from the buffet and walked out and no one would have even known. I ended up ordering off the menu the first day after I was finally able to get service and the food was fine. The second day I was so upset with the service and employees I didn't even tip, which is really hard for me to do. Just like the first day there was no employee(s) to be found upon walking in. I decided to try the buffet this time so waited around several minutes before an employee showed up and then said I'm going to have the buffet. I got my first trip up to the buffet then another employee from the back came and took the tray that had all the meat in it and took it in the back, even though there was still meat in it. At this point that employee and another one came out of the back and got drinks and even made a waffle at the buffet table and then took them in the back with them. The whole time there was just no meat tray on the buffet for a solid 10+ minutes while very clearly the employees were just eating in the back. Eventually I got tired of waiting and just left a complete waste of my money. This service alone was such a joke it not only has me never going to this Best Western again.

I think the only positive about staying here was the pillows. Pretty sure nothing has been updated in 15+ years and it shows. The rooms and hallways were musty. Hallway had strong marijuana smell. Found hair in the shower soon after check in. And called the front desk to confirm there was free breakfast and what time it started — only to go downstairs the next morning and be told by a different staff member there is no free breakfast, you have to eat at the completely barren restaurant on the 1st floor. Felt like I checked into a motel instead of a Best Western. Definitely the worst Best Western I’ve ever stayed at.

Positive: My room was convenient to the parking lot. It was clean, the temperature was pleasant and it had all the things I needed in the room. Negative: I was hoping there would be a complimentary breakfast.

The staff does a good job cleaning and keeping up with the hotel. It's located next to the highway, which makes access to the city and surrounding suburbs easy. Located in Illinois, which is a marijuana friendly state, there is the smell of it in the hallways and elevators. That part was not so great.

Great hotel nice and knowledgeable staff. Food in bar was great and breakfast buffet is amazing with many options. Rooms are clean and beds soft. I stay in alot of hotels this is one of my favorites. Has a fitness room in it that looks good not that I would know lol great stay

It looks like this place had a problem with some biker group and they retaliated by writing a bunch of negative reviews that seem to be focused on bed bugs. Well, here's an honest review from someone who isn't bias either way. Therefore, when I first arrived I hit this huge pothole in the first driveway which is mind baffling that it hasn't been repaired. From this point on my experience was positive in every way. The rooms were clean, the staff was nice, the location was good and I didn't see any bed bugs. I highly recommend this hotel and I will stay here again.
