Rooms were alright but Miriam and Adela were great(5 stars for them)! They made the mornings good with smiles on their face and offered help when needed. Breakfast was really good with different variety to fit your current diet. I looked forward to breakfast everyday

The rooms are very clean. The staff is professional and kind. The service was excellent. Arial at the Front desk was kind and encouraging. Miriam does a great job with the breakfast. Her service is top notch. She keeps the food stocked and it is good.

Miriam , Ariel & Adela . ||Miriam and Adela were very attentive as far as making the food was always full and nothing was left empty, the area was very clean. Nice lady’s . Will definitely be coming back again. ||Ariel was also attentive and very kind . Very understanding when I left my key in my room and got another one.

We stayed at this hotel from 22-25 January 2025.

We went here for our daughters Navy basic training graduation on Great Lakes Navy Base, Illinois. The location is great and is about 10-15 minutes from the base. The drive would have been much shorter, but the interstate the hotel is off of is a "Toll" interstate, aka you have to pay to use that interstate. Nonetheless, the GPS sends you on some side roads to avoid the Toll adding additional time to your travel (about 5 +/- minutes).

The breakfast was amazing. The breakfast staff kept the area clean and well stocked. Miarum (I'm almost certain I'm spelling her name incorrectly and my apologies) is amazing and incredibly helpful.

The front desk employees were very friendly and helpful.

Our room was clean, inviting, and comfortable.

If we are ever in that area again in the future, we will definitely stay here again.

The staff was great, Miriam and Adela were sweet and accommodating during our breakfast time and Ariel at the front desk for our front desk needs was super helpful. Manager night time manager was so helpful when I embarrassed myself beyond belief! Phew this mama is grateful for the memories!

Residence Inn Chicago Lake Forest is an excellent property. Although it is an older estate, this adds to its charm. The rooms are spacious and cozy, resembling suites, with studio options available. The reception area feels very welcoming and warm.

My first day was not ideal as the reception staff were quite cold. They did not check my Bonvoy profile to see that I prefer higher floors, and I was assigned a ground floor room. However, my experience improved significantly when I met Mr. Justin at the front desk. He is a wonderful person who immediately recognized my Gold member status and provided me with a room on a higher floor with the right layout. He also offered complimentary water bottles daily as part of my Gold membership benefits. The gentlemen during my check-in did not offer water bottles and instead charged $10 for them.
Overall, I had a great experience at the facility. I used the gym and enjoyed the complimentary breakfast. I will definitely return to this property.

Fantastic service, especially from Miriam and Adela, they were great and helped us a lot. Great breakfast! Definitely recommend staying here. All was very clean and the lobby staff was eager to help. Good location for access the city or points north, and easy to find.
