I began seeing Sonia at Inner Spring Wellness when trying to conceive and through my pregnancy. Having been diagnosed with endometriosis, I was very concerned about my ability to get pregnant and spoke to Sonia about those concerns from the start. I attribute much of my smooth, healthy pregnancy experience to the consistent acupuncture work. Each week Sonia checked in on both my physical and mental concerns and she customized my treatment to what I needed at that time. She was such an amazing support throughout my journey and I highly recommend her to anyone interested in acupuncture, but especially those looking for fertility and pregnancy support.

Sonia showed immediate concern as soon as I entered the office. She thoroughly explained the steps she would take to treat my back. She started with cupping, followed by acupuncture, and finished with a massage to the back. Now, I went in there thinking I just wanted something to alleviate some of the pain. When I got off the table I knew something worked because I was able to STAND UPRIGHT! I honestly could not believe it. I still had to have treatments twice a week, but I felt better with each visit. Sonia Rivera knows her craft, is professional, compassionate, and was a Godsend for me!! I started seeing Sonia four months ago, now see her monthly as part of my self care regimen. I had a surgery for a torn tendon in my left shoulder. Got physical therapy for a whole year in addition to home exercises, the improvement was very slow and frustrating. It was only when Sonia started acupuncture sessions with me that my shoulder's range of motion increased and I started feeling better each time.
On another note, I accidentally twisted my ankle stepping on a small hall in the park, Sonia directly did an acupuncture session and provided me with some magic oil to rub it with. Two sessions and my ankle went back to normal.

Walking into Inner Spring is always the best feeling. The combination of calm, warm athmosphere and the right aromas from essential oils has me breathing deep and moves me to another world away from my computer desk and the city traffic I just experienced. Yep,I drive here from Chicago, and wouldn’t have it any other way.
Sonia’s presence is immediately so calming and caring. During the treatments I usually end up crying a little, even if I didn’t know I had anything weighing on me.
Last time I went right before a long flight to Europe, I was already so stiff from sitting on the computer and not having been able to exercise due to an injury, so I knew the overnight flights will completely destroy me! I’m so happy I went to see Sonia after neglecting self care for an entire fall.

Immediately after treatments I’m so light hearted and free, but I had no idea it would take me through the flight so well, I felt perfectly normal after it, it carried me through the holidays, with none of my usual ailments.
