I absolutely loved my Oct 2023 stay at the Bailey House. The home is a renovated 1850's place, and it retains so much charm even with its contemporary updates. There was an overall "nautical lake" theme, with blues, greys, and warm tones throughout. Very fitting for the lake country area.|I stayed for 2 nights, "solo", for a family wedding. The new owner, Susan, was a perfect host, quietly assuring that I had everything I needed for my stay. I traveled from the west coast with dresses and clothing that needed freshening from being packed. She had an iron and steamer ready for my use when I arrived. I was so grateful. |There was a delightful common area with a small fridge containing water, soda, and juices. Keurig coffee available 24/7. Susan made my favorite chocolate chip-peanut butter cookies and served them warm in the afternoon! Her breakfasts were amazing as well! warm homemade scones and a tiny "crock" egg bake were the highlights, but only a fraction of the culinary delights served! |I had an aviation-themed room called the Propeller Room. It was a spacious room with ensuite bath and east facing windows. The decor fit well with the theme. It had a fireplace (did not need it, but winter guests will enjoy). The bed was extremely comfortable, with the most luxurious sheets I have ever slept on while traveling! The only thing lacking is an armoire to hang clothes, and Susan is working on it - a suitable piece can't fit up the tight stairway turns to the room! I am confident she will figure it out! (there was a hanging rack for clothes, just not in a closet).|This is a year-round place that can be enjoyed with a small group or large. There is a screened porch, and outdoor fire pit area. |Don't miss the Yerkes Observatory right across the street, and the Lake Geneva Boat tour. It will enhance your experience staying at this delightful Bed and Breakfast.

My sister and I stayed here this past weekend August 2-3, 2024. Loved it. Its a beautiful place. Very nice host. My children gave this trip to me for my birthday. My sister and I will stay there again, sometime. The bnb is a short drive or bike ride to the lake, ice cream places and some shopping.

The best thing I can say about the Bailey House is it is truly a bed and breakfast. John and Karen have a lovely home with a rich history and serve a “Food Network” worthy breakfast. My wife and I have stayed at quite a few B&B’s over the years. While accommodations have been good to great, the breakfast part of the deal is sometimes lacking. No problems here at The Bailey House. This fun couple gives you a plate full of delicious entrees and fruits and even a demonstration on how to remove your muffin from John’s special baking cups. One day we had Karen’s Eggs Benedict and the next she made a tasty oversized French toast and sausage. The rooms were as advertised and were very clean, bright and cheery. The surrounding grounds are beautiful and Williams Bay is a nice quiet area only a few miles away from the busy Lake Geneva. John and Karen are very friendly and enjoy talking with their guests. They go out of their way to accommodate you and make the whole stay a pleasant experience.

If your looking for somewhere to stay that is cozy and comfortable then this is the place for you. We were greeted by John when we walked in and got the tour of the house, then he lead us to the kitchen for fresh baked cookies! He then gave us a map of the area and printed out all the activities going on in the area for the weekend. being that it was our first trip to Lake Geneva this was extremely helpful. I had a few ideas in advance where I wanted to eat and wouldn't you know it John had the menu! Our room was VERY clean, comfortable, and cozy. (We stayed in the Pickney) The highlight of our stay was breakfast. We were a little apprehensive about eating with the other house guests but that became our favorite part. We looked forward to seeing everyone in the morning and having great conversation with John and Karen. Karen can make a breakfast like nobody else! The eggs benedict were the best I've ever had. The following day we had Stuffed french toast and the next day omelettes. All were served with a variety of fresh fruits, and an amazing muffin demonstration by John (just ask him about it lol) We were treated just like family, I feel like I left a little piece of my heart when I left. I can't stress enough how great these two individuals are.

We stayed 10/3-10/4 with another couple at the end of our wine tour and chose the Bailey House to finish it off. John and Karen really made the the experience special by chatting with us while we ate our delicious and bountiful breakfasts. Breakfast is served at 9 but we found ourselves at the beautiful table well past 10 visiting with this wonderful couple. The rooms each had gas fireplaces and whirlpools and were bright and cheery. We stayed in the Pincney Room which is the smallest in the Inn but was still very comfortable. Our traveling companions stayed on the first floor and their room was larger so we hung out there. We were able to check out the Smyth Room on the second floor. WOW.The room is huge and it has an attatched"sunroom" overlooking the outdoor pool. We wish John and Karen good luck in their pursuit to be closer to their grandchildren. We would definitely visit here again.

From the time we were greeted by John (holding Barney) with a cheerful hello to when we had to say goodbye we felt so welcomed. We had a lovely conversation with John and Karen over a delicous breakfast of Eggs benedict - the best ever - and fresh fruit and a home made muffin - I can't believe I ate so much. You won't get a high quality home made breakfast like this in any hotel. The suite was huge and loved the whirlpool room and all the decorations. The bed was very comfy and loved the soft cotton sheets. We feel like they are old friends and we just met.

My husband and I stayed 2 nights at the Bailey House, warmly welcomed by John and Karen, the owners. Turns out that it was the perfect spot to watch my husband and his friend go past both on bikes and run in the Lake Geneva Triathlon. The start/finish of the race was down the street. Karen even brought my breakfast outside for me so I wouldn't miss cheering them on. Speaking of breakfasts, they were both quite good--1st one was a bread pudding, sausage and fruit, 2nd one eggs benedict, fruit and a special muffin demonstration by John. We liked basking in the sun w/ our friends outside by the pool. The bed was comfy, the room was spacious, and the spa tub felt nice. The rest of the inn is charming as well. A couple of little things that would have made it even better--a dresser w/ drawers to put clothes into, a lock that could be open w/ a key from the outside. The bathroom was a bit worn and not super clean, but was functional.

Our room (the only first-floor guest room) was quite large, perhaps the largest we've ever encountered in a bed and breakfast. In addition to the comfortable queen-sized bed and several tables, there were an upholstered arm chair and a sofa, both quite comfortable. The en suite bath had both tub and shower, and a "medicine cabinet" over the sink provided good storage for an extended stay. Not only were we given clean towels each day but also a plate of cookies, which were quite good.||||Our hosts, Karen and John, were delightfully pleasant, outgoing, and genial. They sat with us at breakfast and kept an interesting conversation going--something we greatly prize at bed and breakfast inns. The breakfasts were excellent, providing a variety of fruit, "main dishes" such as waffles stuffed with cranberries and pecans or an omlette filled with tasty morsels, and a sweet, such as a cherry turnover or one of John's famous muffins (huge! and delicious).||||We'll certainly stay at the Bailey House next time we visit Williams Bay.
