We made a quick trip to Chicago for a funeral. I reviewed multiple IHG hotels, Holiday Inn(s)/Holiday Inn Express(es). Tinley's Holiday Inn had the best, most consistent reviews.

Overall our stay was great. I could smell cleaning products in the lobby, our room was clean, the bathroom was clean, etc.

Since breakfast was about an extra $20/day we didn't opt for the extra expense since we had coffee in our room and would be happy with an energy bar we brought with us. We stayed two nights. When I went to make coffee the day we checked out the coffee had not been replenished. I let the front desk know when we checked out and she said she'd let housekeeping know. I asked if there was coffee we could get to go and she referred me to the restaurant, told me the server's name and the cost would be $2 per cup. Ha...seems that we should have been offered two FREE cups since it was the hotel's mistake to not check the coffee supply in our room. Probably seems silly to leave a review for lack of coffee, but...it was still a bit irritating.

Everything was good. Could smell cleaning products in the lobby, polite front desk at check in. Location was great for the reason we had a quick trip. They offer free water in the lobby, but no coffee.|The issue we had was they didn't refill the coffee pods in our room. When we checked out I let them know, the front desk said they would let housekeeping know.|When I asked if we could get a coffee to go, she pointed to the restaurant told me the server's name the cost would be $2 per cup. We should have been offered a free cup of coffee given we didn't have it available in our room.

I stayed here Feb 6-9 and had a great experience. The hotel is well updated, the staff were extraordinarily friendly and helpful, and the food in the restaurant was shockingly good! Lots of restaurants nearby and easy highway access. One things to note is there was a strong weed smell in the elevators which I think set off a fire alarm somewhere in the hotel. Not the hotel's fault but they should have a protocol for this. Would definitely visit again!

What can I say . This has been one of the best experiences I have had with any of the Holiday Inn in the past . From the Mgr Kim all the way through her staff is wonderful . I was there for 3 weeks for work, and they always were amazing. There were people ( other guests ) in the lobby I felt were rude, but they handled them very professionally. Hats off to the amazing staff .

OK, so you see this review and it seems quite impossible. Let me say I was there for a good month and I was nothing less than impressed constantly, great peeps throughout the staff! Above and beyond is their standard. The food that Chef Randy made was outstanding

the buildings nice. The beds are nice, but this is the best compliment I can get Anybody can be nice. It takes a special person to be kind and this staff is kind decent wonderful people.

I have stayed at many Holiday Inns since my childhood and the hotel business has gone through numerous changes, or seasons, through the decades. Holiday Inn is no exception to this evolution. There have been times through this history that I have not thought that Holiday Inn was not keeping up with its commitment to excellence. Over the past couple years, I have seen a dramatic change in attitude and commitment expressed through their evolution to a new standard of quality and attention to the customer experience. I have had the opportunity stay at other hotels attempting to respond to the new challenges of the hotel marketplace but I think Holiday Inn has got it right. Keep doing business this way and I will be a loyal customer.

The front desk staff were outstanding, we checked in around 8:00 after our movie ended just for a weekend getaway just me and my boyfriend. The room was very nice the bedding was outstanding. The comforter was a little bit heavier than some of the other hotels which was really nice. The temperature control in the room was super easy to operate. I loved the bathroom with the walk-in shower and the light up mirror. It provided just enough light it was not super bright I also like the fact that there's a built-in night light in the bathroom so you didn't have to turn on the light just to use the bathroom in the middle of the night. There was a nice large TV a mini fridge a microwave and a coffee maker in the room. We always try to find a room with a mini fridge that way we can put our bottles of water in there so that was definitely a plus. When we stayed it was actually daylight savings time so we woke up the clocks were automatically switched in the room.

The staff is great, the room was clean and as expected. However, we booked a suite for 3 nights over Thanksgiving week so our grandson could stay over one night and swim. This was our third time doing this. I complained about the pool being freezing cold the first stay. We were told the heater was broken and got comped the second stay. Same situation, the pool was at best slightly warmer. We should have booked this stay elsewhere but we like everything else about the hotel. The front desk girl told us they had a new engineer and the pool temp was better. It was colder than ever! And the pool room itself wasn’t even warm, no steam on the windows even though it was below freezing that day. Another family was there and said they didn’t believe it was heated and complained to the front desk. We could only swim 30 minutes! We paid over $600 for 3 nights. We won’t make that mistake again.
