We are so happy we chose to have our wedding at The Old Rugged Barn! Dorothy was fantastic to work with. She was our wedding coordinator and helped us plan and execute our wedding perfectly. We had a beautiful outdoor ceremony. The cocktail hour was in the smaller barn and the wedding reception was in the machine shed ( event center). Each location was perfect. I highly recommend this place for a wedding.

Stayed here a night using HipCamp. Great time not-so-roughing camping it with my little one! It was his first time camping and went off without a hitch! There is an amazing view of the sunset and sunrise & plenty of privacy around the buildings and trees. I absolutely loved having the barn views on one side of us, the sunset on another & then we got to catch a thunderstorm just south of us. The space was exactly as mentioned and Jo was wonderful! I enjoyed talking with her and loved knowing she was right there should the weather have turned for the worse. Her recommendation of “Kicks” around the corner was a great spot to grab a few drinks & a pizza! Can’t wait to come back for another mini getaway!

Our family had a wonderful family reunion at the Old Rugged Barn. Dorothy was amazing by helping us see the venue via FaceTime and being close by during our event. She was wonderful to work with, and the venue had everything we needed! A charming place!

Lovely rustic farm with a barn for dancing/dinner and separate reception building. Not having a bathroom in the barn wasn't the greatest though, but it wasn't bad.

My daughter had her wedding at The Old Rugged Barn over Memorial Day weekend 2022. The barn had many original and rustic decorations and we were able to add our own also. My daughter had a plan and Dorothy helped her see it to fruition. We had approximately 90 guests seated comfortably and brought in our own DJ. The room converted quickly from ceremony to food service. We were able to come in the day before to prepare the tables and decorations, so the wedding day was mainly finishing touches. There is plenty of beautiful shaded space for outdoor gathering. Areas from bridal party dressing as well as separate areas for the groomsmen. Dorothy was a joy to work with, very helpful and exceeded our expectations. I would definitely recommend The Old Rugged Barn.

Me and some friends were interested in putting on a barn dance for our school, so I contacted Jo at the Old Rugged Barn. She was very helpful with all the questions we had and allowed us to come take a look at the Venue before we committed. Upon arrival, we were super impressed with the space. She has it decorated nicely and it has a great rustic feel. She also works very hard to keep it clean. For high school students, we needed something affordable and this was the perfect place. You get a lot for what you spend compared to other local venues which charge insane amounts for very little. When the time of the dance came, she had it all ready for us to get set up and showed us some pointers based on past events she had there. Everyone that attended had an amazing time and didn’t want to leave once the time had come! I can’t say enough about how great The Old Rugged Barn is. Id recommend the place to anyone looking for any kind of event. She also has a craft show here that was very nice. Thanks Jo for providing us with a great experience!
