An absolutely wonderful and peaceful place to rest and enjoy nature and their fire pit. I went for a leadership retreat and the facilities were wonderful and the customer service was above and beyond. The cabin was one of the best I’ve stayed in and I will definitely be going back.

My wife Lindsey and I just got married out here this past weekend, and also had our reception on site. We had an amazing experience and the venue was beautiful! The owner Scott Williams and his crew were extremely helpful and did a great job in making the venue/property perfect for our big day. Any questions that we had were answered and taken care of immediately, and we are very grateful of that! They were instrumental in limiting much of the stress that comes along with such an important weekend.

We had much family from out of town who stayed at the cabins there on site. Everyone who stayed loved how nice the newly renovated cabins are! It was great being able to have them all stay there on property so we could be close with them for the entire weekend. Choosing the Eagles Nest was a great decision! We will undoubtedly recommend it to anyone looking for a wedding venue or a location for any kind of celebration/get together!

This is an amazing place to stay. We booked one of the cottages for several days for a wedding at this venue. We stayed in a two bedroom cottage with a full kitchen very close to the lake. It was a very peaceful and relaxing stay to have the cottage to retreat too between all the wedding activities. The Venue is beautiful and the staff is very helpful with anything and everything needed. Book cottages directly from venue for best prices and to avoid Airbnb fees. Cottages have outdoor picnic area with fire pit/grill and fire wood included. WiFi/internet and large sitting/living area and dining table area. Modern updated bathroom and kitchen. Kitchen includes full size appliances, toaster, coffee pot, coffee, pots and pans, cooking utensils including a can opener and cork screw and bottle openers, silverware, plates, bowls, cups, and glasses. Ice available from ice machine at venue building that is very close by. Queen beds are very comfortable and plenty of pillows and linens included. Loved how the towels were displayed with chocolates from The Chocolate Factory. Flat screen adjustable tv viewable from kitchen, living and dining area. Parking close to the front door of the cottage. Each room has its own cooling heating units if family members prefer different temperature settings. The prices are better than most hotels in the area and you get so much more privacy and extras and an amazing view of the lake. We loved, loved, loved our stay here.

We wanted to take a a small trip for Spring Break this year, but needed to stay close to home due to appointments and such. We remembered we won a 6 night stay stay at one of their cabins. We were completely blown away by the hospitality of Scott, Gene, and their employees. The cabin was beautiful! We had an absolute blast and made some amazing memories as a family. I have told so many people about this beautiful place, close to our own backyard. The wedding venue is absolutely gorgeous and would highly recommend it to make your wedding memorable, your next meeting, or getaway. There is so much available to do with this space. We will definitely be using them again soon, and love seeing the new things they are working on. Our family can't say enough wonderful things about this place and the owners and his team! I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to the staff at the Eagles Nest for having such a beautiful location for us to host our annual Bit Brokers International Christmas party. The venue was absolutely stunning, it was the perfect backdrop for a night of laughter, cheer, and celebration with our amazing company. So glad to have this beautiful venue in Southern Illinois. We had our wedding reception at The Eagle’s Nest. The venue was absolutely beautiful. The amount of places you can take breathtaking photos are endless. I would recommend them over and over again!

Great Place to have an event. My employer has had our Christmas Party there for the last few years. Eagles Nest at the Lake has beautiful views over the lake. The attractive event center large enough even during indoor only events for adults to mingle and kids to play without being in each others way.

What an awesome venue. The property is absolutely stunning. The lake is beautiful. You’ll love everyone that works there just the nicest people around. I was fortunate to perform there and everything was amazing. I’ll be returning soon.
