We stayed here in October 2024. We absolutely loved it! It was like being at your Grandparents home. Lots of charm, clean and the breakfast was GREAT!

We stayed at Oxbow to check out Scratch Brewing in Ava, about 20 minutes away. It was the perfect spot. Peggy and her daughter were fantastic hosts. They welcomed us very warmly when we arrived and showed us to the spacious and comfortable Buffalo Bill Room with a very comfortable queen sized bed and decked out in Buffalo Bill memorabilia. The full breakfast in the morning doesn't disappoint either, particularly when Peggy sits down with you and tells you stories about Pinckneyville and her life there. Would go back in a heartbeat.

We needed a 1 night stay while attending a funeral in Pinckneyville. We checked this out on Trip Advisor and found it highly recommended. We were well pleased with our accommodations. Ms Peggy is a wonderful hostess and cook. The breakfast was wonderful. I wish we could have stayed another night there. The grounds and buildings are beautiful. We highly recommend this to anyone staying in the area.

My husband and I and another couple had the rare pleasure of staying at a B&B which offered an overwhelmingly friendly owner in Peggy and a "bend over backwards" to help attitude of her friendly staff or actually her dear friends, who assist her in making the visitor's stay truly one to remember. Pristine rooms, extremely comfortable beds, lots of closet space are just a few of the many amenities offered here. We felt like we had gone back home to visit family for the holidays! The morning breakfast was delicious - just like grandma used to make!!!! Highly, highly recommend!

Fantastic. An absolute Delight. I highly recommend this B&B. It's a picturesque setting. There are also individual cabins available. The owner is a gracious and lovely woman. Breakfast was phenomenal. It's peaceful it's quiet ,we spent most of our trip sitting on the wonderful porch enjoying the view and the breeze. We stayed in the barn. The barn was CLEAN,the bedding & towels where wonderful, it has a full kitchen and decorated just delightfully. We will be back.

My family was in town for a funeral. We stayed at Oxbow B & B and it was wonderful. The owner was very friendly and went out of her way to make us comfortable. The house was clean and beautifully decorated. There was a music room, a pool table, plenty of coffee, a wonderful hot breakfast in the morning fixed to suit our timing. There was nothing I would have changed to make the stay better. There were other services offered we didn't use like a pool in another building,there were make-up removal pads in the bathroom, little bottles of shampoo, plenty of linens, nothing was missing, and every room has its own bathroom. To me it was the perfect place and if I ever get the opportunity I will be back.

We had an absolutely wonderful time at the Oxbow. The room was large and comfy. Peggy, the owner was insistent that we make ourselves at home. We had many wonderful conversations with her. Breakfast was great. Oxbow was a highlight of our trip! Do not hesitate to stay here!
