The Hull House is an absolutely beautiful place to stay! My husband and I stayed three nights here and were blown away. Every room is decorated with such attention to detail. We stayed in the Adeline Rose room. The bed is the best and most luxurious we have ever slept on! The room was very large and beautifully decorated. The bathroom is very large with a lovely claw foot soaking tub. The common areas are comfortable with nice seating for everyone. The kitchen/dining area was very nice.|There was a great selection of bagels, cinnamon bread and fruit. Also an assortment of coffee and creamer. We would/will recommend the Hull House to anyone looking for not only a peaceful good night's sleep but for a truly unforgettable experience!

This is my second time staying at the Hull House Inn. It’s always my pick when I’m in the area! The house is super charming with all of its character. I’ve stayed in Miss Ella’s chamber both times. The attention to detail in decor and keeping the house authentic is done fabulously! Theresa the owner is also super acccomodating—making sure you have the BEST stay! She is simply a call away. She has been a delight to work with! ||||The rooms are kept super clean, and she even provides you with ight breakfast options (fruit bagels juice coffee). This is also a great location in town. You can walk to nearby famous restaurants like 17th Street BBQ. ||||Make your reservation today at the Inn,||and you won’t regret it! Relax and enjoy all the charm! It’s fabulous to host events at as well.

I give this 5 stars, because that’s all that’s allowed. We stayed in the loft for two nights, we could have stayed a week. As soon as we walked in we were wowed. The place is so cute. They have 2 welcome baskets, the place is decorated so very well - it felt like a home. Full kitchen, 2 comfortable bed rooms, sitting room... everything just right. I never met the host, but communicated often - they were very quick to respond, very polite & I could just tell that they are good people who cares about their place & their customers. Next time I go to Murphysboro... I will stay here again.....

Two century old victorian homes repurposed as a bed and breakfast and a flower/gift shop. Beautiful gardens radiant with history nestled in the center of the quaint town of Murphysboro. Exquisitely decorated in such a fashion that you are transported back to the Victorian era. Exceptional staff who are friendly, knowledgeable of the area and history, and who take pride in their work and business. Take a stroll through the gardens and courtyards, sit by the fire pit and relax, shop for local decorative gifts in the Apple Blossom store, or read a book in the parlor of the Historic Hull House. No matter what you do, you are sure to find yourself in love with the Twin Sisters (the two victorian homes) and the other amenities available in the Quarter.

We stayed in the William Hull room. On the positive, the bed was very comfortable with plush top and good linens. The room was large and could move around easily. The negatives are No Heat! The weather had changed so the temperature outside was 45 degrees - only cold air through the registers, it was probably about 6o degrees in the room. We travel with an extra blanket and comforter and it saved us. The second big negative was no outlets. The room had electric lamps but they were aired directly into the wall so no outlet for charging phone. The third big negative was the breakfast or lack thereof - breakfast was a loaf of pumpkin bread and coffee that you had to make on your own. It's the first time that I have had to stay at a bed and breakfast and go out for breakfast. There were no or complaints - THE decor in the room included an antique wheelchair that looked like "mothers" from the movie Psycho - not cool, just creepy. The doors required you to slam them to close so it was hard to be quit for the neighbors. Also we never met or saw the owner. We left a day early.

I can always count on The Historic Hull House Inn to roll out the very best when accommodating my out of town visitors. The decor and guest service are well worth the reasonable rates. I have the assurance my visitors are sleeping on a comfortable mattress warmly tucked in with fresh linens, have plenty of bath towels plus coffee and light snacks on hand. Location is conveniently located for a stroll through main street or a hop over to a quick shop, plenty of parking and I know my visitors are safe. Historic Hull House Inn is absolutely my GO TO for hosting my visiting family and friends. In fact my family now uses the historichullhouseinn.com website to book surprise visits, how fabulous is that!

I had a wonderful experience staying at this Inn. We stayed in the William H. Hull Room. The bed was so comfortable and the decor was fabulous. The Owner, Theresa made sure we were taken care of. There were fresh flowers in our room along with treats to snack on. She even went so far to put a book in our room that had local restaurants and menus in it. In the morning there were things like bagels or different breads to make toast with along with coffee and juice that was in the refrigerator. Since it was an Inn we weren't expecting anything so it was a pleasant surprise. We are planning on coming back in the spring of next year and will definitely be booking our stay here.

This is a beautiful home. All home's have some history behind them, and the older ones have some charming features not often found in modern builds. I love seeing these older Victorian homes restored, the homeowners hace done great preserving this piece of history. Its nice of them to open up for Christmas tours. I enjoyed one there in 2019.
