Thank you so much Lorie and Neil for sharing your home with us! We enjoyed our stay at your lovely B&B! We had never been to a B&B before so did not have a clue what to expect but you put us at ease and we loved it! Love the pecan muffins and if you want to send me the recipe...LOL! This is very close to Fern Clyffe State Park and the wine trail, plus many other great scenic areas! Only thing, do not trust your GPS, as it does not take you to the B&B, but Lorie will give you great directions! Go and have fun! 😉

We spent 4 nights at Twin Bluffs B&B. The surrounds were georgeous. Close to many state parks with excellent hiking trails. Each morning we woke to the most delicious hot breakfast. Laurie made us feel like family and catered to our every need. It was a great trip and we would most definately return to this location.

I've stayed here a few times and felt like I was family during each visit. The rooms are cozy, super clean, have comfy beds and quality linens. The views are stunning. There's a lovely pond and the food is great. Laurie's specialty is biscuits and gravy, done the old fashioned way, but she catered to our tastes as well on both mornings. There are ots of things to do in the area, including visiting the wine trail of Southern Illinois. Highly recommend this place.

We did not want to leave. This was way better than we expected. Our host was like family and the food was excellent. You stay in the heart the Shawnee National Forest and are centrally located to all the major attraction like Garden of the Gods, Heron Pond, Bell Smith Springs, Ferne Clyffe State Park, Carbondale, Panthers Den, Giant City and over a dozen wineries plus the Shawnee Zip line and canopy tours. Even if you decide to hang out for the day their is plenty to do and see. Hiking and day hikes are every where as is the famous Tunnel Hill bike travel a few miles away that goes 50 miles through the Shawnee Forest. We just got home and are making summer plans to stay here when we bring our kids to camp Ondessonk. I thank our host for a wonderful time and a chance to sleep in the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in.

I have stayed here 4 times in the last 7 years. The location makes it the perfect stop at the end of the first day of a long weekend trip! The following are my likes:||1. Clean ALWAYS! 2. Quiet. 3. Accommodating hosts! 4. GREAT breakfast!!! If you are looking to explore the true southern part of the state, think of a line south of Carbondale going east to west, this is THE PLACE to stay. You are 5 minutes from an interstate, and within an hour of nearly every winery and hiking / biking opportunity.

Lauerie was simply put, down to Earth and magnificently funny and her cooking was equal, if not better, than any of the food we were served at the local wineries. Her husband, Neil, worked for the forestry service and had extensive knowledge of the area and all of the local businesses. It was easy to find ourselves wanting to just sit and talk to them for hours. Neil's brother, Jerry, happened to be there - put the three of them together and you find yourself caught up in the middle of total family fun. The place was extraordinary!

A great experience all around. Comfortable room, quiet location, delicious breakfast, and Lori & Neil were super friendly and gracious. It was a perfect way to rest up & recover for Tunnel Hill 50 miler. Hiked the local bluffs, drove to Metropolis, IL & Padukah, KY for site seeing. Plenty to do see & do in the area.

Whether you are a social butterfly, or conservative,and private like we are you'll love The Twin Bluffs B&B. The rooms are very clean,and homey.Lorie,and her husband Neil were very nice.The view,and atmosphere will take your breath away !!!! And the food is definitely yummy, especially the biscuits, and gravy!!!!! Mine, and dan's favorite!!!!
