Very clean and comfortable inn very close to the Tunnel Hill State Park trailhead in Vienna. There’s a big sitting area and large kitchen on the first floor, with the rooms on the second floor. I stayed two nights and slept great! The linens were exceptional. Very nice sheets and the thickest and softest towels. The reservation process was easy. I just wish an email confirmation could be sent.

We stayed 2 nights here while enjoying the Tunnel Trail. The room was very comfortable with a comfortable bed, and great linens. We had everything we wanted in a room, and it was quiet. It's like stepping back in time and enjoying a bygone elegance. Make sure you take in the living room/parlor by reading or enjoying one of their games while chatting with other guests. Breakfast was fine and quick, but they also had homemade coffee cake which was amazing. Highly recommend it.

Oh my! If you are ever in this area, you absolutely must stay at this historic beautifully decorated bed-and-breakfast inn. Kathy is an outstanding host, and every single need you may have for comfort and hospitality has been provided. Each room is fantastically decorated with its own theme. Upstairs and downstairs I found myself looking around not wanting to miss a single detail. It is absolutely a wonderful, clean, friendly, peaceful place to stay. I will definitely be back and look forward to it!

We stayed here three nights in April 2021. We chose the location to be roughly equidistant from western, eastern, and southern parts of the area for hiking and outdoor activities.||||We stayed in the Safari room, one of the few rooms that contains a private bathroom. The room was small but not cramped. The bathroom was cramped, though, even with the (quite low-lying) sink outside of it. This was the main difficulty for us. We never noticed anyone coming to tidy up our room during our stay - I'm assuming that this might be partly COVID-related. For just a three-night stay, it also wasn't necessary for us to have anyone in, so it worked out fine.||||The kitchen was reasonably stocked with dry goods and basics. We could make ourselves simple coffee and oatmeal in the morning. It wasn't anything to linger over, which was helpful in that it got us on our way and hiking early. And we never quite felt the need to seek out a second breakfast elsewhere. We also had the ability to make PBJs or the like out of the ingredients on offer in order to have a snack on the go.||||We barely had any interaction with the innkeeper, just the one where she checked in on us on our final full day. She was quite accommodating in making it easy for us to let ourselves into the inn even when we arrived late on our first evening. Again here, I'm guessing that the scarce interactions were an adjustment that was forced by COVID.

Beautiful inn. Easy to make reservation w a phone call. Rooms are cozy. A/C works well. Beds are clothed exceptionally. I mean hand-quilted covers, high quality cotton sheets, fluffy towels. I did not see a speck of dust dirt or hair anywhere. Plenty of snacks. I plan on returning again!!

Finding rooms in Vienna area is difficult.Kathy called me back following a cancellation, so we booked the day before we arrived. Kathy was prompt and gracious. The Inn is historic and has some age on it but has a homey casual feel that is completely different from a hotel. Room was small but exceptionally clean and had all the amenities needed following a days bike ride. Would recommend this Inn to anyone wanting to avoid a hotel

This building is old, so naturally accommodations have been made to turn it into an inn. That said, we were very happy with the staff, who responded to every question quickly and helped us with one small problem. On arrival we noticed how very noisy the street was and worried that would be an issue, but inside the room was quiet.

I visited this place when I was in town for a running race. It is a very quaint and quiet place in downtown Vienna, IL. Keep in mind that not every room has it's own shower. It didn't bother me at all, but I also wasn't traveling with my wife and kids. I would definitely return.
