We loved our stay here! Connie did an amazing job hosting us and making sure we felt welcome, the house was beautiful, food was delicious, town was great! The clawfoot tub was definitely the best part of the house! Really enjoyed sitting outside on the large porch and reading, but also going to the local pub! Will be returning!

We had such an awesome relaxing time in Mississippi room. It was beautiful and exceptionally clean . We really enjoyed our experience at the Connor House. We stayed there for New Year’s Eve for the La Guiannée that comes around to welcome the new year and that keeps a +300 year old French tradition alive in the community. We were warmly welcomed and our needs were met. Beautiful home inside and out. I finally was able to see the entire home since we were staying there. Such attention to detail and the host made everything so wonderful for our stay.

I highly recommend the Conner House BnB in Prairie Du Rocher. From the wonderfully comfortable bed, the beautiful soaking clawfoot tub, the festive Christmas decorations to the sumptuous breakfast- our entire stay of 2 days was just perfect. We went on a little trip for my husband's birthday. I googled top BnBs in Illinois and Conner house came up twice. I'd never been to SW Illinois so I gave it a try. This restored grand home is beautifully decorated! And clean! I am a clean freak so it met all of my expectations and more! Connie is such a warm host. She taught us so much about the French founding and history of the town. I never knew we had French history in Illinois! The ferry ride at Modoc is a must, as is visiting St. Genevieve across the river. Do not miss the French fort of Fort Du Chartes. It was December 21 when we visited and has the place to ourselves! If you like BnBs, you must Stay at Conner House!

2nd time there. Our favorite room is the Mississippi room. Was there to ring in 2025. There are a host of activities from a scrumptious spread of food, a roving minstrel of singers with traditional French songs. The inn is lavishly decorated for the holidays. Very pleasant and a great experience. Thank you Connie

We stayed for our anniversary at conner house and highly recommend. We stayed in Mississippi room which was great and just happen to be the only couple that night so had the whole house to ourselves. Breakfast was great the next morning. There are 2 places to eat in prairie de rocher Lisa's which is more of sit down/ family with bar and rocher pub more of bar and grill with sandwiches pizza etc. We was able to try both and was pleased both meals. You can take ferry across to st gen which is neat and also a old historic fort to checkout just 4 miles away.

I stayed at Conner House with my sisters while visiting our family in the area. Conner house is a charming, lovely home with spacious rooms. Connie and Pat were gracious hosts and gave generously of their time and talents. From chats with Connie, we learned a great deal about the history of Conner House, the town of Prairie du Rocher, and the nearby French fort. At breakfast, we enjoyed delicious family recipes that included tomatoes from Pat's garden and thick cut bacon from local farms. My sisters and I especially enjoyed doing yoga on the porch that stayed cool and breezy despite the nearly 90 degree heat. We will definitely stay again!

One of the very best B&Bs we have stayed in the last 30 years -- great restoration while still providing modern conveniences. We enjoyed 3 nights in the New Orleans room & traveled through seldom noticed French-American history in the area. Connie is a great host and chef, providing 3 outstanding breakfasts while leading interesting discussions on the area's history; a definite 10/10. -- We spent an additional 3 days in Ste. Genevieve, MO, at the supposedly restored "luxury" Dr. Hertich's House - a definite letdown in comparison with the Conner House and interactions with our host Connie.
