I've wanted to try Blue Lake since I found out about it, over twenty years ago. My life situation changed recently, and I decided it was time to finally go. ||First, I inquired as to their policy regarding unattached males. To my relief and delight, I was told I was welcome, as long as I followed the rules and was respectful. That wouldn't be a problem.||As soon as I got there and in the required attire, I was home. I was made to feel welcome right away and I couldn't wait to get back. So, I was there early the next morning and stayed until after dark. I even became a member, even though there was only three weeks left in the season. I've since more than paid for my membership, and there are two weekends yet to go.||I will be joining again next season.

Had my very first ever resort/campground experience today. Let me tell you, It could not have possibly been any better. Everyone I talked to were some of the friendliest most welcoming people I've ever met in my life. If you're thinking about it, just do it. I promise you won't regret it here. You get a personal tour, and before the tour is over you've already forgotten you're not wearing clothes. After spending about 6 hours there, putting clothes on was 10 times harder than taking them off. 100% will be back again, and again, and again.

So friendly, apprehensions about how I would be received as a single male. I was well accepted. Very clean and well organized resort, room, grounds, etc. I can't wait to go back! I liked the discreet name of Blue Lake and it being AANR. Other things to do in the area if I really wanted to get dressed! Lol

Me and my wife (we are in our 20s)stayed here a total of 4 nights and we loved it! Will definitely be returning next summer hopefully for longer. Everyone was respectful great hospitality and they actually had 2 weddings there. What a wonderful place to go and let yourself be free only being 30 minutes from the quad cities!

This was my wife’s and my first time at a naturist resort in the US. We had been socially nude before in the Caribbean, but not in the States. The owners and management made sure we understood what to expect going in and that was reassuring. A family-safe non-sexual environment was what we wanted and what we found. We camped and having electric at the camp site was a nice perk. ||The people there welcomed us immediately and made us feel right at home. We should have gone earlier in the season because now we miss them and can’t wait to see them all again. ||My one piece of advice would be to put on higher socks and shoes once dusk starts falling. I kept to my flip flops and only too late realized that some bugs were having a feast on my ankles. They didn’t go any higher than that, so socks and shoes would have taken care of it. Otherwise it was a bit of paradise and we can’t wait for next season to start.

My wife and I went for 1 night during our honeymoon. We didn't know what to expect, but now we can't wait to go back. Everybody we interacted with was very kind, respectful, and helpful. The check in process was simple, and for first timers, they give a tour of the property which helped us feel more welcome to explore the grounds. Would love to go back for se of the events the have throughout the year.

Yes, people are nude here from ages 0 to 100+. But it is so relaxing and honestly treated much better than you would be in the textile world. This place is small but more like a little community than a resort. ||||The room for visitors is limited but they have a nice area for tent camping and also spots to pull a trailer into! They have a nice clubhouse where they serve breakfast and lunch on the weekends. You can also hook up to WiFi at the clubhouse as well!||||The chlorinated pond is very refreshing and after a quick dip you can soak in the sun on the sun deck. After that you can play a game of carpetball or volleyball.||||They have weekly community activities which is great for newbies to get to know those who have been going there for years!||||Overall it was one of the best camping experiences we've ever had and we will definitely be going back!

This was my husband and I's first time as a social nudist. I felt quite awkward at first, but it did not take me long to feel welcome and accepted. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. You feel no different than you would with clothing on. The owners Irma and Brad really have a nice retreat from the world. You have the choice to stay in a cabin room, bring your trailer or even pitch a tent if you like. I would highly recommend Blue Lake for kids and adults alike.
