Nope.
Staff was nice and breakfast was good but the whole point of the trip was the "spa". You soak in a jacuzzi tub for 25 minutes. The dry sauna was closed due to rain leaking through the ceiling.
It's very run down. BUT again the staff was great. The building and facility is just past its best days. Probably worth the drive off your in st Louis but đŸ¤ˇâ€â™‚ī¸

My sisters, mom, and I had a blast! The massage was fantastic. Dinner was delicious and the staff really made us feel like we like we were the only people in the place! We will definitely be coming back. The rooms are outdated but we weren't expecting an extravagant hotel. It is very rustic could probably use some updates but we loved it!

This was the grossest trip I have ever been on.
I seriously wanted to cry. Never in my life have I stayed at such an awful place. I thought the health department had to shut down places like this.
Dead cockroaches on the pool deck, dead cockroaches in the pool. Gross.
Pool bottom was never cleaned.
The floor in our room felt grimy. I did not feel comfortable walking barefoot.
Smoke detector in our room was hanging from the wall.
Trash container in the pool area was never emptied during our stay. Bugs were hatching from the container. Gross.
Floors throughout the hotel were extremely stained. Some wood was so soft, I was afraid of falling in (I'm not a big person).
The hotel smelled so bad. My clothes stunk when I got home.
Cobwebs in our room and in the bathroom
The spa was seriously scary. Clearly the place had never been vacuumed. Peeling paint was just sitting on the floor.
Multiple buckets on the floor to catch the leaky ceiling. It's clear they never empty the buckets.
The massage was the worst one I have ever received. I would never pay what I did just to have someone barely rub me. The room also needed WAY more essential oils to cover up the gross smell of this hotel.
The price of this place was insane. For half the price, you can stay almost anywhere and it would be cleaner. I mean, a Motel 6 would be a much nicer place to stay at less then half the price. Buy some minerals and put it in your bathtub. You'll have a better experience then this dump.
Nothing to do in the area. Not even a nature trail. The only nearby grocery store was filled with expired food.
The "bath" was seriously just a bath with "minerals." Not even a good tub. I have a nicer one in my house. The bath area was dimly lit. Felt EXTREMELY unsafe. Towels have bleach stains.
I've stayed in MUCH better places for half the price.
There is some cool history to the place, but that just makes me sad. This place is falling apart and the historic charm has not been taken care of. I love little Victorian B&Bs, this was not it.
For now, I won't even bring my bag in the house. I'm parking my car in the sun. I'm afraid that I brought back cockroach eggs.
I really could list way more here. Do not stay here. I'm convinced these positive reviews are from people who either work there, or who are friends with people who work here.

My family has been coming for 30 years. We knew not to expect the Ritz Carlton. We were in rooms 74 and 75, they were beyond filthy, I wish I'd taken pictures. There were only wires hanging out of the wall where a smoke detector should be in 74, dust so thick, probably mold on bathroom floors. I read reviews about bedbugs and having dealt with them from another hotel, I searched as hard as I could with having to touch and move a mattress. I didn't find them. We decided to laugh and joke about the grunge and make the most of it. Thankfully I checked again at bed time since that's when bugs come out. They're still there. I could go on, but since the bed bugs are my biggest concern, I'll leave it there. Health department needs to shut it down until the entire place is treated properly and truly cleaned.

Very interesting little place, tucked away about a mile off the freeway in a small town. It's a health spa from a bygone era, and it's exactly what you'd expect. We only got a room, so that's all I can speak to, but even though it was not perfectly maintained and restored, it was clean and comfortable and everything worked well. It was a nice place to spend the night at a very good rate. If you like history or just something unique and different, I'd definitely recommend this place. What it lacks in modernity and perfection it more than makes up for in character and atmosphere.

Run down, dirty (needs a good cleaning). Paint chipping, musty old carpet. No working smoke detector in our room (unplugged). Front deck said she would report but there was a detector in the hall. They had to put a different TV in our room. Old mattress with stained up box springs. Please cover those nasty box springs, yuck. We arrived to the bath house for our mineral bath to be told it was cancelled due to mechanical problems. Restaurant food (dinner and breakfast) came with mixed reviews. The hordoures and wine were very good. The seafood on my platter was so overcooked I could only eat about half. This was an anniversary trip we wasted good money on. Should have stuck to a good restaurant as we usually do.

Don't bother! Entire girls weekend ruined, ran out of there literally, place was gross, clearly had a BB issue at one point or still does. Total shame they let this place go, should tear it down redo the whole thing. Really was looking forward to an old possibly haunted spa weekend to relax. But found a run down 70s dump with dirty walls, old filthy furniture, infestation, lack of spa staff. My 10 min stay wasn't worth the drive.

I love this place. The quiet. The solitude and the hospitality is what us busy suburbanites and city-dwellers need. The new owners Michael and Lena Frenkel are fabulous. They appreciate the historical significance of this 150 year hotel and have a vision for making some improvements while keeping the Victorian charm alive and well. Not to mention the health benefits of these natural spring waters.
