This was our first “Glamping” experience, in fact, our first camping experience of any kind in a lot of years. What a fantastic experience! The Glamping Tent was amazing in many ways. Sturdy and durable, evidenced by standing up to a microburst storm the first night. Spacious and clean with comfortable beds, a well-stocked kitchen, air-conditioning and a babbling brook outside the front door rounded out the perfect accommodations. We had wonderful weather after the first night. The nature and grounds are beautiful with so much to do. The staff could not have been more accommodating. Kim and Bob are true professionals and welcomed us with their kind, friendly and caring personalities. They made our stay a relaxing and memorable one. Every staff member we encountered was exceptional. Ed checked on us frequently to make sure all was well with our tent. Jevin was at the ready any time we needed anything from A/C tutorial to ice delivery and always with a smile and “happy to help” attitude. The fly-fishing lesson was fun and educational. The Woolly Bugger on-site restaurant has a great Chef and a very nice bar. The management, staff, attention paid to details and overall beauty of the nature surrounding you make Sankoty Lakes a place to definitely put on your “must do” list.

We've been camping for 5 years and have stayed at dozens of parks from Virginia to Florida and Texas off the coasts at beautiful RV resorts.
We just finished staying a week at Sankoty and this resort is definitely top 5 for me.
The staff is nice and very accommodating.
They've made this resort feel first class.
We live about 1 1/2 hr away and so thankful a place like this is so close.
We will definitely be coming back again and again.

Our family of 4 has a great time in the glamping tents! The staff is friendly and helpful, the tents were clean and very comfortable. The property was beautiful and we had a great time with our little ones at the beach and fishing! Being able to bring bikes to get around the property was awesome! Will definitely book here again!

Just stayed the weekend with a big group of 7 families. Both kids and adults had an amazing time. The property is beautiful, lots to do and explore. The tents were extremely nice, it's the only way to camp! Hoping to make this an annual experience and so glad a place like this is in Illinois!

What a great park!! Away from the main area, very quiet with a great view of the lake. Sites are large, concrete and level. No trouble with the water/power and they are located in good spots. Loved the daily garbage pickup. The internet was easily the fastest we have ever experienced. Granted there were only 5 or 6 other rigs there, but WOW was it fast. Staff was super friendly. $48/night was a bit pricey, but if we need to stay in Peoria again for a night or two, we would definitely stay here again.

We had such a memorable time at SanKoty Lakes! The glamping tents exceeded our expectations with such comfortable beds and air conditioning, and everyone slept well to the sounds of nature. We had fly fishing lessons- and although it takes practice to catch trout, the boys had great luck catching bluegill in the lake. We cooked all our meals over the campfire- I found great recipes for grilled meals and desserts. Definitely want to come back again!

We are a family of 7 and had so much fun with our boys, kayaking, boating , riding around on the golf cart and spending time together around the bonfire. The cabin was clean ,spacious with a full stocked kitchen made it easy to take care of our Boys and prepare food. All staff was pleasant and had great manners. Kim Marsh took excellent care of us and we highly recommend taking your family here for a relaxing weekend to remember!

We have been multiple times just for lake days and have loved it. This time we stayed in one of the glamping tents and had just as amazing of an experience! The staff is amazing and have truly thought of everything.

The only reason I have given it 4 stars instead of 5 is that only a very small portion of the beach has been open this summer, but that is never communicated. The food at the restaurant is amazing, but the serving staff is new and struggled with the amount of customers.
