If I could leave 0 starts I absolutely would.. looking at pictures before coming it looks like a nice spot to drop the camper, I was wrong the spots were very trashy.. and they let any and all campers in there..all the concrete pads were broken up and potholes everywhere. The concept of how to get around the park was terrible. Also be careful when you drive around the park if you even go 1 over the speed limit you will get chased down by the board members on their golf carts with a beer in hand and cussed out and accused of going 20 mph over the speed limit. Also the amount of iron in the water is absolutely terrible.. the washers and dryers are disgusting. We couldn’t even drink water through our filtered faucet because of the iron in the water. The only thing I even somewhat liked about the park was fishing, but even then why should I have to pay to fish in a pond that I just paid well over a $1,000 dollars to stay at your rv “resort” That just doesn’t make sense.

Staff was SUPER friendly. We stayed for 5 days and enjoyed every day. Pool was nice. Kids loved the pond/beach area. Some people have complained about the sulfur smell in the water. Spend $20 on Amazon for a in-line filter and you will have zero smell. Definitely will be back.

Of all the campgrounds I have stayed in, which is a lot, this one is truly a resort. Super nice people, and accommodating. There are a few cons. Get a good water filter before staying here. The water is really rusty. I along with multiple of my co-workers stayed at different sites all over the park, so its not just one area of the park, and all had rusty water, it stained my toilet and I was using filters from day one. The only other issue is the noise from I-80. The section of the park I stayed in was right next to the highway, there were trees so you cant see it but you could literally throw a rock and hit the interstate and it was right before a bridge so every time a semi-truck hit the bumps before the bridge you heard it, trust me. Coworkers staying on the other side of the park said it was not that bad. It is a beautiful park, but the lot I was in, I couldn't enjoy sitting outside due to the noise. So, stay on the other side of the park, invest in a really good filter, not the inline filters from Walmart, like I did because they do not filter enough, and enjoy this great park.

**I took my entire family out to Leisure Lake for a three day weekend. Four generations, and everyone had a great time. The staff is Extremely friendly and helpful. Me & my Pops both caught a couple nice size Catfish, my little 5&7 yr old Nephews were excited they caught a few Blue gills. Even my Teenage Daughters enjoyed themselves at the Pool and swimming lake. We've decided to make this a yearly event

Leisure Lake looks good, but the real time experience is disappointing.
First, it is nestled in the armpit of where I-80 crosses I-55. The constant 24/7 drumming as semi's blast by is deafening.
Second, the water tastes like something drained from an old radiator. The iron content makes it un-drinkable and it stains everything it touches.
The wi-fi may be strong, but the band-width is limited to the point of being useless.
The staff is very friendly and helpful, but be aware the office seems to be closed on Sunday.
Finally the dog-park is on the far side of the lake. The pooch will do his business on the walk there.

Nice clean quiet park. We’re here for work not for leisure, so we don’t use lake/pool/etc. would recommend not using the laundry house as the water will stain your clothes, leave them smelling bad, and the dryers will randomly stop minutes after starting so repeatedly you’ll think you have dry laundry when actually you have to keep pumping coins in it to get it to go for longer than 5 minutes at a time. It took me over two hours to dry two half loads of clothing.

Freeway a bit loud, but we're on the road traveling so it's to be expected, 2 nights was over $90 a bit pricy with all the 'resort' amenities all closed.... should be a contractor discount. 🙂
