Ordered assorted empanada bites and a cappuccino. The empanada bites were hot and crispy. All were great but the cheese one was my favorite! The cappuccino was one of the best ones I've had at that price! Chill atmosphere with relaxing music and very reasonable prices! Will for sure be back!

My new go to coffee spot, the atmosphere of the place is amazing, smells so good every time I walk in. The coffee is really rich and the food as well is so tasty. The employees are super friendly and always have a smile on their face. The Young Lady at the front is super enthusiastic and has so much energy! Great service all around.

I have been anticipating the opening of Barrio Bites since I saw the name on the outside of the building, and my anticipation was met with happiness the first day I walked in.

The main interior has a few seats, but the large patio is an exciting structure covered from the elements, and decorated with a lot of cool stuff. Apparently, they are going to install a weatherproof vinyl for weatherproof dining.

The food, drinks, and service have been great so far. All the staff, especially the very friendly cook/Chef, have been great. I am happy Barrio Bites is located close to my work, and my mother’s house.

Barrio Bites is definitely worth trying once or 100 times. Buen Provecho!

Cute spot with unique and well priced drinks. The guava juice was delicious. Empanadas are tasty and cheap. Super friendly people too, definitely give this place a try. Patio space is chill and dog friendly.

Carlos is such a kind and amazing spirit. He takes the time to make everything he sells himself. The chorizo is his own recipe and when I tell you it is such a delicious recipe, I was speechless. The pastries are flaky and buttery and the coffee. I understand why people can be snobby about coffee now that I've tried the coffee here. One of the best coffees I've had in a long time. the arepas are crispy and perfect. I usually don't eat too much arepas but this one... devoured. He gave us a sample of the fruit cocktail he makes and it was so refreshing! This place is such a gem in the portage park area. So happy to have his business in our community.

Fantastic South American joint. Nutella ice coffee was great. I also tried the steak sandwich and choripan sandwich with an array of sauces to try on the side. Sabroso. You can tell the owners put love into their products. Will be back.

Great neighborhood spot for authentic Colombian street food. We had the Veggie empanada, the Chicken empanada, and the chorizo arepa. Everything was cooked fresh. They also have great coffee. I look forward to returning soon.
