Tucker’s solid service and fun atmosphere offers a fantastic variety of burgers, including the flavorful Landlubber, alongside standout dishes like the cornbread with whipped maple bourbon butter and the hearty meatloaf baked potato. The nachos, wings, and draft and cocktails selections are excellent.

Went here for the first time. It was a cozy little place on the river. The food was decently priced large portions and delicious flavors. We will be going back! I have the crispy wonton rice bowl with seared Ahi tuna. The tuna was well seasoned and very tender. The rice was also yummy and had so much leftover!

Cool place right on the river. Upscale bar & grill vibes. Friendly waitress but didn't know if they had seltzer drinks. Turns out they have Fresca vodka drinks. Food took a very long time but they were very busy. Food was good, not great and it is a bit pricey. I hope to give them another chance.

We went here for Valentine’s Day, the weather was terrible and we had to bring our little one with us , they were so accommodating and affordable! The waitress was great and helped us with deciding on what we should eat and what she recommended.
The atmosphere is awesome! Will be back in the summer to sit on the deck to see the river !

I drive through Port Byron pretty much every day for my job. In the more than two years since working at this location, I've never stopped anywhere in town either on the way or from work, and given recommendations for bars and restaurants recently provided by coworkers I felt it time to try something in the downtown. Tuggers would be the first stop in this effort.

I feel like it's not really necessary to state this, but the downtown of Port Byron along Main Street is not huge. It encompasses all of about three or so blocks. Tuggers is on the river side of this area, near the northern most part of the businesses lining the street. I'm a little bummed I haven't stopped by sooner - even in the winter, the walk along the street was quiet, with the sound of the river adding a certain calm to everything.

Tuggers is definitely a stand-out among the places around this area. Their establishment is in a newish looking building - or a very well refurbished one. Regardless, the interior is similarly sharp and new looking. Weathered looking laminate wood floor lines the space with black drop ceiling and recessed light fixtures above. There's a mix of booth, high table, and normal table seating through the space, as well as a few stools at the bar. Additional incandescent globe fixtures are spaced between the wine racks above the bar. The old looking brick and mortar walls add additional character to the space. On the whole, it's cozy and a little dark - I like it.

I opted to sit at the bar, even with the dining space mostly empty. I had a Hendrick gin and tonic, which was really well balanced and otherwise tasted great. I only needed to burn about 30 minutes, so I only ordered a side of seasoned fries to snack on. The fries were soon out and I snacked away. They were really well seasoned, tasted great!

At the urging of a gentleman at the bar, I need to come back for a future visit, possibly during the summer so as to sit on the big patio. I'm looking forward to this return trip and some more time in Main Street Port Byron. Thanks, Tuggers!

Tuggers is a cozy restaurant to go along the Mississippi River in Port Bryon, Illinois. You receive a Hometown Welcome with nice people. Food is hit and miss but mostly good. Service has always been great. One of my favs is their Bloody Mary. We shared an app; Italian Nacho Egg-roll (not pictured) We did not care for it. Mainly, because they added too many peppers to egg roll. In the past, we have enjoyed their Flagship hamburger (messy-good) and their Fish Tacos which have always been great. Definitely worth taking a trip to Port Bryon and check this place out for yourself!

Today, my wife and I stopped in to this place for lunch. Let’s start out with the view from the patio dining area...really scenic, and right on the river. Then the menu comes, and what a really unique selection of burgers. If you’re also into craft beers, they have a menu for you. My wife ordered the barnacle and I ordered the flagship. I was pretty hungry and dove right into mine. The Gouda cheese and the secret sauce combined to form a flavorful taste, and the egg was the cherry on top. This was probably one of the best burgers I’ve had with an egg. She started in on hers, and stated hers was very juicy and tasted good. If you’re a boater, you can pull your boat right up to a dock and go in for a meal too! This was a really good place, very clean, and the burgers lived up to the hype. Highly recommend if you’re wanting a burger, stop in to Tuggers!
