I love Marina at Simply Gorgeous Day Spa! She is so warm and friendly and very client-focused. I’ve bought colonic and wax packages with her, and I couldn’t be happier. They’re very affordable and it’s easy to schedule with her. She’s very accommodating schedule-wise, I usually opt for an evening appointment. The colonic room is clean, always smells great, and it’s nice and warm in there which is great as the machine uses cool water. I always run cold, but the cool water doesn’t bother me probably because the room is nice and warm, and there’s a great heating pad I love using. If I don’t use the heating pad I can do red light therapy, which is great. It’s also very easy to park close by.

I hesitated writing this review because the massage therapist was genuinely kind and caring, but I feel it's important to share my experience since I noticed only one other review mentioned similar concerns.

Despite the therapist's warm personality, this was unfortunately the most disappointing massage experiences I've had. The room was cold, and the session consisted mainly of being covered in excessive amounts of oil with basic stroking motions while wearing plastic gloves - with virtually no therapeutic massage technique. I left feeling uncomfortably drenched in oil (even my hair, despite wearing a wrap) with no relief from my muscle tension.

While the heated massage table and brief facial portion were pleasant, it seems this venue is better suited for facials or other treatments.

I'm giving 3 stars because the therapist was genuinely caring and trying her best, but if I were rating the massage itself, it would be 1 star.

Really bad experience this past week. I've gone to simply gorgeous maybe a handful of times before for massage or a facial. Always enjoyed the service and treatment. But this past time was the worst massage experience I've had. I hate saying that because Marina was very nice. I come 10 minutes before my appoiment the door doesn't open until 2 minutes after my appointment was supposed to start so probably wasn't in the room until about 10 minutes after my start time. As the massage begins, I noticed she puts on gloves. I thought to myself, weird but not alarming. The next hour is her lathering me in so much oil that it's stained the neck of my jacket. She used absolutely no pressure even though I asked her to a few times. It wasn't a massage at all. I was basically rubbed quickly huge amounts of oil on my skin. We could hear another client knocking on the door towards the end. She finishes up with me and I check the time. She'd only been in the room with me an hour even though I had paid for a 90-minute session. When I brought it to her attention after she said something about giving me a 30 minute redo. I have yet to hear back from her.

I've been a loyal customer for a year now, and I must say, the service at this spa is top-notch. Whether it's a last-minute appointment or a planned visit, they always accommodate me with a smile. Marina is my go-to therapist for a quick massage, and the prices are incredibly reasonable. The massages are consistently fantastic, but be sure to communicate your specific needs for targeted attention. Plus, there's ample parking available, making the entire experience even more convenient.

My first visit to the simply gorgeous day spa was amazing, thanks to Marina! Checking in was simple, and the staff were really nice. I decided to get a facial because my skin was feeling dry and congested after traveling for a few months. Marina was so friendly and knew a lot about skincare. I have to say, it was absolutely incredible! The staff there were so friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere was just so relaxing and peaceful. The treatments they offer are top-notch, and they really know how to make you feel pampered and rejuvenated. I left feeling like a whole new person! I checked out Simply Gorgeous Day Spa while visiting my BFF in Oakland, and was delighted to receive the same level of service I've spent almost two decades finding down here in LA. In particular, I was blown away by the facial I received. I was blessed with the services of Marina, whose holistic understading of care included mental and even spiritual treatment on top of physical, made me feel like I were visiting my therapist and a meditation temple in addition to a top drawer conventional spa.
I departed from Gorgeous with glowing skin, a back freed from muscle tension, improved breathing, and even a more positive mindset. In other words, I felt Gorgeous.
