Priced great with free on-site and gated parking.
Would not reccomended having fabric bed frames and headboards in a hotel room, they were stained and dusty. The comforter also was torn up on one corner and had a burn hole in the middle of it. The floor also didn't look clean and I found uno cards and letter blocks for children under the bed.
The bed was one of the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in, though.

As others have noted, the hotel is older and refurbished, but it is charmingly quirky. I was here 3 days and nights visiting a friend in the nearby hospital. Room was clean, bathroom spacious, instant hot water and good shower pressure. Bed seems like a temurpedic which I had to get used to as it's a little firmer than I'm used to. However, once I did, slept great. Bedding was soft and clean. For me, best feature was proximity to the hospital, about 10 minutes on a flat, easy stroll. You are definitely in a city but as an older woman traveling alone, did not feel unsafe in the neighborhood. Several good restaurants within just a few blocks. Owner was efficient and helpful with the only problem I encountered, which was a very small issue with my TV, quickly and easily rectified. I was on the street side of the building and did not find it noisy for sleeping. A/C worked great, too. As long as you aren't expecting a 5 star abode, would highly recommend!

It was nice. Parking is gated so that is great. The smart TV allows access to streaming services, but also Dish Network is accessible to watch local channels etc.

First off, it's a small motel in Oakland. Don’t let the initial skepticism fool you – it’s actually a charming little spot to stay. The location might seem a bit sketchy at first, but once you check in with the owner, everything feels perfectly fine. There isn’t a traditional lobby; instead, you check in at the front desk through a window.

The best part - Self-parking is FREE! No daily fees like at other hotels, which often charge up to $40 per day.

I stayed for two days after Thanksgiving, so the place was pretty quiet with only a few guests, which was great. It felt like we had the entire motel to ourselves.

Rooms: The room was spacious with a retro white decor and modern touches. There were plenty of lights, a medium-sized refrigerator, a large security safe (big enough for a laptop), and an area to hang your clothes and store luggage. It also had a desk, an iron board, tv and a long dressing mirror. The bathroom was updated, with a sliding barn door and a walk-in shower (no tub). I liked the wall-mounted shampoo and body wash dispensers. Hot water dispersed fast and great. Nice sized toilet.

Bed: The bed was comfortable for me, as I prefer a medium-firm mattress (I can’t stand overly soft beds). There were plenty of pillows, and the queen-sized bed was just right. If I could change one thing, it would be the bed frame. I’m not a fan of boxed-in mattresses where the sides touch when sitting on the bed. But that's a minor issue.

Window Shade: The shade is a single layer, and while it blocks most of the light, there was some light seeping through the sides. I like complete darkness when I sleep, so adding an extra layer of curtains would be a great improvement, though this is also a small issue.

Price: Great value at $99 plus tax per night, with no extra resort or hotel fees. Rates and availability may change, of course.

Nearby Attractions: To my surprise, there were plenty of cool places to eat and shop nearby. There’s a wide variety of options within walking distance! Try Brendas for New Orleans-style food, or head to Piedmont Avenue for a cute strip of local stores and a CVS. I especially loved the vintage shops and the many locally-owned stores offering unique items.

Signage: I would suggest the big signage be changed for a more modern 2025 look so it doesn't stray folks from coming. Visual marketing is key. Change it to the actual motels name and make it enormous and take away that word "Motel". That large word of "Motel" overrides the main purpose of what your property really offers. You have a great place. Spark it with more colorful retro lights on outside too so it doesnt look too dark. Just a helpful perspective from a customers view. 🙂

Overall: I found this place spontaneously online while visiting family for a day. If you’re picky or prefer high-end accommodations, it might not be for you. But for a motel, I think it’s better than most I’ve seen. Its an upgrade in my opinion. No breakfast, but plenty of cafes nearby to try. The owner was friendly, and the place was quiet and comfortable.

A comfortable, clean, safe, & affordable motel! I enjoyed my stay here and the owner working the front desk is available to assist you at any time. They also clean the rooms every day which I appreciated! The only way to enter the property to check in is to call the office, so they can open the gate. This was a bit confusing when we arrived, but nevertheless 5/5!

This place was awful we checked in and 20 mins afterwards left and got a whole other hotel. Then the manager accused us after we complained of using up all the shampoo and conditioner. Great way to distract from how disgusting this place is. And no we literally didn't touch the shampoos or conditioner who has the time to sit there and siphon a shampoo bottle. For sure they do NOT replace the sheets between guests. There's NO way they swept or mop this floor between guests . This head board has NEVER been cleaned or dusted in EVER. You couldn't pay me to stay at this hotel or motel or inn or whatever it's called ... I call it a complete waste of time and money. My stomach turns just thinking about someone else sleeping in here. We left and went to a holiday inn ... and it was much better. This guy is a horrible host and should NOT be managing a motel. PERIOD

For what it is, it's a cute little motel in a decent area for a really good price. Be sure to book direct on their website for the best price. Rooms are remodeled, showers are hot, and rooms are made up every day. Secure parking with a full gate. The floors are a little scuffed but I found the rest of the room to be clean and tidy. Close by to good coffee shops and restaurants. Can't beat it!
