Long story short is my Pool Pump went out and I couldn't clean my pool. I was going to be out of town for a while, I decided to drain my pool so it wouldn't get swampy, plus id like to remodel it.
My warranty company sent out Xact pool and spa to review why my pool pump stopped turning on. The tech that came out only tested the clock panel area for 3 minutes and diagnosed that the clock motor was bad. A full month went by without any contact. I was denied because exact pool told my warranty company that my pump motor seized because I ran it while pool was dry, they never even looked at the pump motor. They told me clock motor, told my warranty company different. Straight up lied and caused a denial.
Pool and Spa Doctors came out for second opinion and proved that they lied. Pump Motor was simply past life expectancy and went out. 12 year old Motor and 30 year old clock fixture. Do not trust Exact Pool!!

Xact Pool & Spa and specifically John the owner is running a complete racket through American Home Shield. I have twice need repairs to my pool equipment and twice John has denied the claim for some bogus reason. He simply shows up denies the claim and collects his $100 fee then says he will do the work but that its not covered. Twice I have asked for a second opinion and twice the second pool repair contractor has fixed my problem under my AHS warranty. Stay away from Xact Pool & Spa they are a fraud and scam!!!!

seems like all the negative reviews are from people that have American Home Shield home warranties. I have the same thing and AHS is a nightmare. My U-Line fridge went out a year ago and there are literally 50 communications before they agreed it was not repairable and they had to give me a cash out option . The refrigerator is $3000. A year later still waiting for the check . 'It's in process" My infinity edge pump on the pool was not working and AHS sent Xact out. They called to set up visit over the phone and advised me it will not be covered as it is decorative even thought the edge pump puts water back into the pool. They would fix it but not under the insurance. I think they use AHS for leads and get AHS to deny coverage and then convert it into a cash sale . The problem is that AHS pays them too little for the service . We need to dump AHS and maybe find a pool repair that has Google 5 star ratings !

Filed a claim with AHS American Home Warranty--bad company, don't use them, Xact provided wrong and false information to the warranty company and they denied my claim to fix the pool equipment. Fact:My pool electrical is on my property, not my neighbors. Fact: The electrical service is not Illegal, it was installed when the property was constructed. Our pool is not abused, it turned green when the filter stopped in December. I gave you this information before you came out on the service call. Steer clear of these guys.

Very impressed with John and Zach. I put my request for repair into AHS Warranty last night and they were calling to set up an appointment this morning. Zach had it all under control in less than 20 minutes and answered all of my other pool questions.

The service was good even through ahs. It took them a few days to come but after that, they ordered the parts and handled it perfectly. The second time I called with ahs, they were very fast and said that it was the skimmer to seal. They gave us the referral of a very professional guy. They took the time to call us back to give us this referral but the insurance ahs was incompetent because it wasn't accepted but still the insurance wanted us to spend 100 dol for a leak guy and it wasn't in our contract. The problem is not them but ahs.

Our pool is covered by Fidelity National Home Warranty. Our pump burned out, and Fidelity was very quick to issue work order to Xact Pool and Spa to repair it. Zac from Xact Pool and Spa was on time, very commercial, and fixed our broken pump quickly and efficiently. He knows his business. He also walked me through the controller and gave me great tips on maintaining a healthy system. All around a great experience with Fidelity and Xact!!

Very bad service. My salt water chlorinator is not putting out chlorine so I put in a service request with American Home Shield. They sent a guy, not John, who simply did a water test. I advised him that I have done proper maintenance on the chlorinator and that our pool chlorine level keeps dropping. He advised that the chlorinator is bad. He never tested it or did any before and after water test.
American Home Shield called and said John stated it was a maintenance issue so they would not cover. I called John but received his VM, and received no response. FYI, he clearly indicates that if you have an issue with Home Insurance, its not his problem, even though he is the one who is telling the Home Insurance incorrect information.

John, if you don't want to do work, don't operate a business. I've had my pool for four years and never had any issues. Why is it that I am just now having problems due to lack of maintenance when I have always done the maintenance?
